Sorry for dumb question, but it's first time ever I'm in the need to revert my game back so I'm a bit confused : How do I do this exactly ?

Right click the game in your steam library, press betas, then the dropdown on beta participation and selected the branch you want. The game will then update to that branch.  

"We have set up a rollback branch for 1.12.14 (Avalanche). You can use it to continue your previously saved games. Remember that Steam may require a restart to show the new branch.
However be aware that:

1. If you have bought Arms Against Tyranny, some graphical and audio assets (loading screen, music...) will show up in the game. This will still be 100% save compatible and not bring any feature from AAT. If you dislike them, you can disable the DLC from the launcher and get a pure 1.12.14 experience as it was before AAT released.
2. Most popular total conversion mods have updated to 1.13 and will not rollback when you change steam branch. The launcher will warn you accordingly that they are incompatible with your current version of the game."

It's going to be very hard to make offensive fighters to take air superiority over a zone you're just pushing into because you have to sacrifice defense and weight => attack (with thrusts now reduced) to get the extra fuel tanks to have enough range to project superiority into other zones. Unless there are more changes, it seems like defensive interceptors will be able to mop multiple times their IC in bombers/air superiority fighters, which I can't really comment...

I did a run on a live stream a few weeks ago where I had a ton of planes with non-standard materials usage. I wasn't running IW planes, but I had plenty of CAS with air defense of 1. Aha, see I thought the game's browser was accessing the copy on the hard drive. Which, in hindsight, wouldn't make much sense.
