For this, you’ll play as Sinkiang, conquer your way to the coast, build a capital ship and lose it.

A mod you might like to keep your eye on is ‘Hearts of Iron IV: Empire’, which transports the world of HOI4 back to 1699.
It’s in its early stages of development at the moment, but looks promising!
For a truly unpredictable game, you should try the Random Country Placement mod. Especially good for multiplayer, this mod completely jumbles up the world to make for a surreal and enjoyable experience.

An achievement that will really require you to rise from the ashes is ‘Hail To the Qing’.
To complete this you will need to reform the Qing Empire as Manchukuo, defeating Japan and any warlords that stand in your way!

There are lots of potential naval technologies so it can be a challenge to get all the modules you like added to your ships.
Which do you prize most highly?
I (105-BEL) am annoyed at my neighbour (64-GER) for moving his party closer to our boundary line than we agreed.
My friend (146-FRA) says they aren't going to intervene because they think it might cause the party to get out of hand (like the last one did).
What should I do?
To achieve ‘Neither Death Nor Dishonor’ as Romania, you will need to keep hold of all your land by 1942, and control either Berlin or Moscow.
Bonus points for controlling both! 😉
