These changes will be loaded into the open beta branch this week, and we'll spend the weekend getting feedback before hopefully releasing the patch sometime next week 🙂
In today’s Dev Diary, @podcat_paradox shows off the patch notes for the upcoming 1.6.2 update, which includes changes to research speed techs and AI improvements.

Unfortunately due to a bit of illness going around there is not going to be a World War Wednesday stream today everyone- but look out for a Dev Diary later this afternoon! 🙂
Have you ever played a game as a ‘Dominion-less’ Britain?
For a more challenging game as Britain, set all the dominions to turn Fascist, and the set out to reconquer your former holdings!
For his resolve in refusing to abandon his ship Ohio’s captain, Dudley Mason, was awarded the George Cross.
After days travelling at walking pace, Ohio made it to Valletta, delivering the fuel which transformed Malta’s situation, possibly staving off invasion.
Ohio’s cargo was particularly valuable as it was thousands of pounds of fuel, vital for the Spitfires and Submarines based on Malta.
Because of this, she was bombed again and again, after an initial torpedo strike from the Italian submarine Axum.
After being left with no engine or steering power, Ohio looked to be sinking.
But Royal Navy destroyers came alongside and began the laborious process of towing Ohio to Malta, with ships lashed to each side to keep her afloat.
The SS Ohio was an American-built Oil tanker launched in April 1940, and commissioned into the British Merchant Navy in July 1942.
She would play a central role in Operation Pedestal, a massive Royal Navy attempt to get supplies to besieged Malta.
How many of you had this experience the first time loading up Man the Guns?
A neat mod that you might enjoy is 'Custom Rules for All'.
This adds AI behaviour options for all nations with generic focus trees, allowing you even more customisation for your games.
