Sure there's the Scarecrow skin but they're so rare that you'll run into a paid2win on demand legendary skin 20 times before seeing one

Crytek put the time, money, and effort into making this amazing world concertina effect and it would be great to let it live on passed the event expiration

That’s the thing however: The Scrapbeak wire is thicker, has feathers attached and therefore has a clear difference when it comes to seeing (and shooting) through it compared to regular Concerina wire. :)

We decided against this to avoid controversy around better/worse visibility of placed wires in the world. Legendary items are not supposed to have any effect on gameplay.

I was appreciating Siegismund unlocking a cool skin for the crossbow now that the ammo type sharing allows to use the existing skins with all ammo types. So our plan seems to be working that players see the extra benefits of two ammo types on single shot weapons now. :)

It’s also the reason we never introduced dedicated explosive or shotbolt crossbow Legendaries knowing they would all be collapsed down into the regular crossbow eventually. :)

Oh and Siegismund actually saves up his Blood Bonds earned through playing the game to unlock new skins once in a while.

We believe Hunt has one of the fairest premium currency systems in games out there. Its optional and you can get a lot of skins free of charge simply by playing, but it’s also a great way to support us as a developer when you buy a pack or two. :)

Just one question: is the availability to switch ammo types on single shot weapons only a balance choice and/or a technical limitation? i.e. unloading and reloading a chain pistol would just not be reasonable in a combat situation or the animations for every weapon too much work. I think a lot of ammo will be very much meme for bullets (especially elemental damage bullets) and situational, combined with the need for special ammo.

Not sure if I would consider custom ammo on many weapons. For Single Shot it's awesome tho (had played a round of training with it yesterday). Really excited to play the test server later to maybe get my opinion changed :)

Btw: I really love the 1887 :)

It’s mainly a balance choice, but we would also need a lot more logic setup and animations to properly unload weapons with internal magazines to change types. Also, some weapons already make use of the X button to toggle weapon modes (like Aperture) and therefore would not allow for swapping ammo types.

Hey guys, sorry about the confusion! Two extra ammo types crawled in there by accident, they aren’t meant to be available for the Hand Crossbow, so we took the image down to fix this. There won't be any shotbolts and explosive bolts for the weapon. Those remain reserved for the big crossbow. Keep your eyes peeled, there’s another nice change coming to the Hand Crossbow with the 1.5 update. Stay tuned for more soon!

What is the difference? It's the same like in 1.4.4 patch.

While it was mentioned in the 1.4.4 patch notes already, it actually really only made it into this update properly, but should be working now as intended finally. Sorry for the confusion!
