When is the next sale?

Need to buy more TM's :p

Morrigan vote noted. :)

We'll likely have some DLC in the next Steam sale, mirrored on the Codename Games site, whenever that occurs.

Odile is quite strong. What happens to future objectives and dungeons now?

We can look into adding harder objectives to make use of her power, as well as making objectives that don't allow her tags to restrict her use.

Welcome Crusaders to the new year!

Before we begin today, I hope you are safe wherever you are, and that you are in a position to take care of yourselves during this time of change.

For those of you who are joining us for the first time, I'm Erika, the Live Services Manager for Crusaders of the Lost Idols and Community Manager for Codename Entertainment, and I will do my best to answer your Crusaders questions. This Q&A is so you know where to find one of the team to chat Crusaders weekly.

I will be answering questions live for the first hour and then ...

Wait, Hermit was in the wrong slot for Washed Up?

He snuck into the wrong slot for players doing Washed Up in the past couple of days (bottom of the back column instead of being up front like normal) because we'd been making some changes to the formation code for a different issue. Sneaky Hermit.

Journeyman is more expensive to start, and they have the same max level, but the Tier 4 talent is more expensive than it's Tier 1 counterpart. They both do the same, basic, thing, for different rarity recipes, but the rarer one is cheaper to fill out.

Apprentice Crafter gives the bonus from both Common and Uncommon Recipes owned, while Journeyman just does Rare Recipes.

Fixed it yesterday about an hour after the challenge (and the tickets) started.

Just reload the game and she should be usable.

First question:

When you say "won't go back to the bug" regarding Crow, what are you referring to:

1) That you can now no longer carry over his stacks when loading formations?

2) That his stacks no longer stack individually with Imani, only as a whole?

3) Both of the above?

If you at least made point 1 doable again, he'd maybe be marginally viable for the dungeon meta.

Second question:

How do you guys feel about every tier 6 Crusader (now including Crow, post-nerf) being incapable of fitting into the Dungeon meta?

Third question:

I heard some rumours that you guys might actually hardcap Milgrid soon. I got two questions for that:

1) Any "more or less" amount of stacks you are thinking of?

2) Are you aware that Milgrid is currently one of the weakest supports in the dungeon-meta?

Hi Daurakin,

  • First question: we won't go back to their stacks stacking individually with Imani. We'll be looking at the saved formation issue.

  • Second question: We've done our best. Not all our Crusaders are gonna be Jiaos or Imanis, we've done a share of Rosie Rocklechauns and Rockys.

  • Third question: I did mention the possibility on stream as something we'd think about as dungeon runs continue to get deeper.

Could we have some quality of life improvements such as:

  • feedback after saving a formation (I cannot count the number of times the game didn' save a formation when I thought it did and vice-versa)
  • notification that the stores (for chest) have reset
  • notification that the cost for legendaries have reset

Also is there any plan to fix achievements for getting crusaders when a player got the crusader through a mission?

Hi Rhanan,

  • It has come up at points in the past. Now that Bush Whacker 2 has something similar there, we can see if we can borrow it.

  • I'll add your votes for the notifications for the stores and the catalyst cost resets to the items on the suggestion list.

  • Because the recruit achievements are tied to completing the specific recruit objective and not just owning the Crusader, that's why you have to wait until the event comes around for those to get marked as completed, though we do need to do something for the Search for Simon crusaders, as that event doesn't repeat.

Hi Travkeymaybe,

We got you the gear/recruit missions in the update on Wednesday. I'll make a note about the event skins for one of our January updates.

Happy holidays. :)

Will this achievement be able to be gained at some future time? Will dungeons repeat so you can get it next year/round?

If it is not possible to get this achievement at some other time, are you able to explain your "theory of game" which explains how you think people will be able to get this achievement now? What sort of minimum time investment in the game are you anticipating will be needed to hit that goal? I'm able to have the game running most of the time, but it's a game, not a job.

Especially on top of all the Tier 6 crusaders so far not helping us be better (albeit Crow only now after being nerfed), adding a new achievement after halfway through the event feels quite player unfriendly. Advancing the requirements on the dungeons after last season is fine, we expect to go further with normal power creep, but that's not been provided.

While I appreciate there's t...

The complete level 25 achievement icon should have been in the game from the beginning, yes, but the goal for full completion of the season being 25 was mentioned in the season 2 launch blog and matches season 1's level 25 achievement.

We just moved the cool prizes down to level 21 so if those were what you were after you didn't have to push to 25, and then we added the extra levels over 25 for the players who might accumulate extra points.

The old season achievements should be hidden if you don't achieve them, and there will be new ones when the season themes start repeating.

Alright, back to being serious, I'm quite confident you will make up for the e300 drop I felt (like a lot of the players) with new talents, new crusaders, new stuff. Sometimes I wonder if the game is tailored exactly for players at my level, since in the Crypt, I got the level 25 achievement a week before it finished, and I got the last 10k achievement with the very last dungeon run, after the Crypt finished. So I'm declaring that you're doing an excellent job with your math! And those that don't agree, well, bah, humbug, to you, too!

Wishing you the very best for the end of the year, to you, your colleagues and families, and to the entire CotLI community!

Collywobbles is such a fun word.

Thank you for your kind words, and a very best end of year to you as well. :)
