No sideboarding during draft feels like a letdown. That's a pretty big gameplay difference for traditional limited players tacked on to a bunch of social and UI improvements
It's just that you can't put cards into the sideboard while you're drafting. Once you're done with the drafting portion sideboarding works like normal (as you're building your deck, between games in a Bo3 match, etc.).
I enjoyed some runs, but there are a few archetypes that simply don't work or can't hang with the others. I understand they use this as a gold/gem sink before dropping the new set, but I would have preferred some historic draft sets returning. DOM / Amonkhet / Kaladesh would have been nice.
We want to do both Historic drafts and cubes! After the Arena Cube ended but before Tinkerer's Cubw began, we ran GRN and RNA drafts.
Sorry if those sets weren't the particular ones you were hoping for, but the next time we do drafts from Historic sets, they'll be different ones!
The early access for MTG Arena on Android mobile devices is currently planned for January 28, 2020 with the release of Kaldheim. It will be available on iOS later this year.
