Yes, the Pestilence Scourge Event will run again before Apocalypse is available.
With the Pestilence Scourge Event in full swing, there have been a few issues and we want to provide you with some updates.
First, there have been a number of accounts that have appeared on the Leaderboards that clearly could not have earned the points necessary to get there. The dev team is manually reviewing each of these profiles in real-time and banning any accounts that fraudulently acquired those points. To maintain the integrity of the Rank Rewards, there will be a delay period of ~24 hours after the event ends to allow time to review the final standings (beyond the top 100 on the Leaderboards) and remove any accounts that didn’t rightfully earn their place. As there are many accounts to review, this does mean that there will be a delay in delivering shards for Morgan Le Fay but we will work as quickly as possible to minimize the waiting time.

Your defence of the billion dollar corporation who still aren't going to pick you is that their two bundles price the value of the two products based on different metrics for value. They can't use two different metrics and then say one is 1.5 times the value of the other; at best it's meaningless and misleading, at worst it's actively deceitful and certainly here in the UK and many other countries whose legislatures haven't been as completely captured by corporate interests as the USA's has it isn't legal.
He is a perfect example of why they do this. They are targeting under educated commanders that don't understand basic maths...

My Fellow Commanders! I come to you today from a long hiatus because of the absolute absurdity and outright misleading offer in the store today for the "Mercenary team bundle"
you get two choices
On the left: 14.99 for 100 merc shards of 4 toons
On the Right (1.5 value!!!) 29.99 for 150 merc shards of the same 4 toons.
Let's be clear.. this is not 1.5 VALUE and is a misleading scam.
The dictionary defines "value" as "the monetary worth of something" So in this case they are saying the offer on the right is 1.5 the "monetary worth" of the offer on the left.. This can't be further from the truth.
What You get is 50% more shards (which is where i think they are getting the 1.5 from your paying 2x the price ...This not value. In fact your get 0.75 times the value... here's why:

Right 1.5 value offer: .0499 per shard this is 75% premium per shard!! how is thi...
The dev team is continuing to monitor the Pestilence Scourge Event Leaderboard, to investigate and take swift action against any accounts that attempt to leverage ill-gotten points. We will ensure that any account acting in bad faith will be removed and not adversely affect the final Rank Rewards.

Tying such a big event to leaderboards that are notoriously easily spoofed still makes me nervous, though. Any assurance that Scopley is doing something to monitor that?
Yes, we will be closely monitoring the Leaderboards.
As we continue with internal testing of the first Scourge Event, we want to ensure that the rewards properly reflect the degree of the challenge. Today we will be updating the Rank Rewards to include more character shards of Morgan Le Fay, and more gear pieces for Milestone Rewards than what is displayed in the Event Preview that went live on Sunday, April 10th (PDT). There will be some refactoring of the Rank thresholds but all Ranks will get more character shards for this first run. Updating these rewards will require the removal of the Event Preview for approximately 5-10 minutes but will be promptly reactivated.
