Most of my life I've worked on games or mods that are never "done". Minecraft will be alive for decades to come. I've never quite had the experience of completing a game outside of hobby projects. I've always been curious what that experience is like.
Followers in the game industry: if you've done both, how does it compare to work on one new game from beginning to the end (shipping) versus working on a game under the GaaS umbrella. Does the former even exist much these days? How does it compare?
There are many more great questions and even some ok answers over on the AMA we had today on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/y9tcj6/comment/it7n0jz/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

Bedrock and Java
Redoing this tweet with a poll.
For Hanging Sign text, we intentionally made the font size and limit different on Bedrock and Java to gather feedback of which ones players prefer.
So, which one do you prefer? Java or Bedrock?
IDK why I forgot to specify, but yeah this is for Hanging Signs.
Oh btw, we intentionally made the font size and limit different on Bedrock and Java to gather feedback of which ones players prefer.
Thoughts on Ominous Banner and Dragon Egg in the creative inventory?

Try four Minecraft 1.20 features announced at #MinecraftLive now!
The camel, hanging signs, chiseled bookshelf, and bamboo wood set are waiting for you in Java Snapshot and Bedrock Beta & Preview.
Experimenting with making the ordering of colored blocks more logical as a color gradient. Includes Wool, Terracotta, Glass, etc.
The transportation tab was one of the most egregious tabs that needed to be removed, similar to Brewing (at least potions filled a lot of that tab). It had such a small amount of space used for an entire tab. I don't think we will re-add the Transportation tab back in.
@kingbdogz Just add the transportation tab back in?..
Thinking of adding chest boats to Redstone tab as well since they seem to be used a lot. Do you think that non-chest boats should be there too?
1.20 may not have an official name yet, but it does have a theme.
@TheBisquit_ The theme is essentially self expression, representation and storytelling. These are all things that enable the player to be more creative in their world, so while the features may feel "random", they fit these principles. Hanging Signs absolutely aid players in storytelling.
Camels, chiselled bookshelves, hanging signs, bamboo wood set and rafts - you can try them all out in the latest Minecraft Preview!

Going forward, the new plan for Java Edition is to have multiple minor versions throughout the year, including new content and improvements when they're ready. This way, you don't have to wait for the next big, major version update 🙂
