Thanks. The account and all of the alt accounts associated with it have been permanently banned thanks to this post. I will be removing this post as it can be seen as witch-hunting and can potentially encourage cheating. The video was perfect as it included the "playerlist" command which is needed to make a positive ID. In the future if you want to report someone you can contact the moderators; you can do so here on this subreddit by using the "Message the mods" button at the bottom of the right-sided column OR open a Modmail ticked on the official Discord server by messaging the Modmail bot found again on the right side of the app.

Thank you and take care.

We know BERK as the heart of the community in this region. Him being banned makes us worry that we can be banned for anything.

Being popular or well-liked should not give one a free pass when it comes to following the server rules. I hope we are in agreement on that. The same can be said about the public demanding to know private information of such individual. Just because they are famous does not mean we can waver their right to privacy. At the time of this post, the player in question has not yet reached out to us so we find ourselves in a "damned if we do, damned if we do not" kind of situation. The subreddit was heavily brigaded, many posts deleted which raised questions, which prompted this post as a general explanation of the rules to bring clarity of our actions.

Let me be clear, I have examined and reevaluated the case against the said player and the action we issued was per or guidelines based on the evidence provided.

  1. Don't say things about us we don't like.

  2. We won't tell you why we don't like them.

  3. We won't show you where you said the things that we don't like.

Am I going insane? What on earth.

  1. You can criticize us, we do not have a problem with that, but to openly accuse specific players and put a spotlight that could show them in a negative light or accusing moderators of abuse is slander and witch-hunting. Present your evidence via the appropriate channels as it is intended and not in a public forum.
  2. There is no emotions attached to this. You are not privy to know why and for what someone else has received an action. We respect the players privacy.
  3. We will tell and show you what you said/did to garner an action in the appropriate private channels that I mentioned - Modmail on Discord, "Message the mods" button on this subreddit, or the contact emails. Again respect of privacy.

Why is there plenty of evidence of moderators doing exactly the opposite of what is laid out here, and discussing ban reasons publicly on this very subreddit? One that comes to mind was the guy banned for kicking a moderator into spikes and not saying "sorry".

People will not follow the rules if the people who issue them disregard them themselves.

The public responses were approved only after the player appealed, was explained in detail why actions were taken against their account and then proceeded to make multiple posts on this subreddit fabricating a story to garner sympathy.

Any evidence of moderator abuse that gets reported we investigate. Most of the reports are either pure fabrications without evidence, or the evidence is an attempt at framing; nickname and profile picture changed on a community server making it seem as the official moderator are the most common. Mistaking community moderators as being official ones is also common here.

I do not recall the specific case you are mentioning.

Post

Hello everyone. Due to recent activity on this subreddit I have decided to make this post to have some clarity and open a channel for discussion.

As part of the moderation team, I want to take a moment to explain some of our key policies that often raise questions. Our goal is to maintain a healthy, respectful, and safe environment for everyone in this community. Here’s why we have the following rules and practices in place:

1. Why We Don’t Allow Witch-Hunt Posts

A witch-hunt post is any content that singles out a person or group for targeted harassment, ridicule, or other negative actions by the community. Asking why a specific player received a punishment still singles out that player and pants them in a negative light. While it might seem like a good idea to “call out” bad behavior, these posts can quickly spiral out of control, leading to:

  • Harassment: People who are named or targeted in these posts often receive threats,...

Hello! We have released a smaller patch that introduces a new feature for console players: the ability to choose whether to join servers with PC-Crossplay enabled or limit the search to Console-only servers. Additionally, this patch includes several fixes across all platforms, primarily targeting issues related to the Demon Horde.

You can read the full change log below.

Change log 07/16/2024 Patch 2 - Hotfix #1 (Console only)

Demon Horde

We are aware that not everyone wants to play VS PC players so we are in the works to allow console players to be able to choose PC-crossplay or Console-only servers. That will also help with the desire to have duels with more servers being available.

Your post has been removed because it violates rule 11. Do not post content that shows how to do certain exploits in-game. This should be reported to Modmail (either on Reddit or Discord).

The player in question has been sanctioned.

It was yes, PC patch was quite smaller (600MB). 38GB is the size of the full game. If that is the case for you then an integrity check might have failed and redownloaded the whole game.
