Season three of Competitive Play is here!
Competitive Play is designed for those players who want to put their skills to the test and offers a more serious experience than our Quick Play or Arcade Modes. Players new to Overwatch 2 will unlock access to Competitive Play when they complete the Competitive Play Qualification challenge by winning 50 unranked games.
We mentioned in the blog that we agree that the system doesn’t feel as rewarding and informative as we all need it to be. The steps outlined (moving updates to 5 wins, MM improvements, etc) should be viewed as preliminary, with the understanding that the comp system in general is a high priority for the System Design team.
We’ll continue to communicate about this, and other issues, regularly and as we have meaningful updates.

Yes, I do have my main account and keeping up with it. I usually focus on getting at least my dailies done in the evening on weekdays, and then do a heavy gaming grind on weekends, which can consist of Overwatch, World of Warcraft, or other games.
I do participate in playtests though which is a really cool experience.

Yes, I have been helping a lot with the blogs, patch notes, and forum posts you see on an official level. To give an insight to my work right now, I am doing my daily check of the forums and Reddit to bring constructive feedback to the devs, and trust me they really appreciate the feedback everyone has been giving.
If there is anything I do want to debunk, is that I have not been silenced by anyone. I am still relatively new to the team, so if anything I am learning from my peers and leaders, Jodie, Andy, Jon, Jared, etc. I also work on a lot of things behind the scenes that you guys don’t get to see but that’s okay because the work I have been doing feels really impactful to the future of the game.
Happy new year, everyone! We are starting the year off with a bang by bringing back Double XP for this weekend! During Double XP Weekend, your accumulated match XP from each match played will be doubled. Please note any XP rewarded for completing challenges, bonus XP for participating in flex queue or impacted roles in Role Queue, and any XP rewards from endorsements are not doubled during double XP weekends. When you receive double XP for your matches played, you should see the total number of XP after each match be higher than normal. However, the end-of-game Battle Pass screen will not indicate the amount that is multiplied. Double XP Weekends are a great chance to complete your Battle Pass and unlock the Zeus Junker Queen Mythic Skin! We look forward to seeing you in-game!

We decided to give Orisa and Ramattra an adjustment in order to give them more competitive options to stand up to Roadhog. Originally we planned to adjust Roadhog in this patch, but we could not adjust him due to a technical issue with our hotfix today. We’ll keep an eye on all of these heroes and expect more updates in a future patch.

Hey everyone. I get that it can take a while to actually be selected as the Yeti in Mei’s Yeti Hunt, but here is a tip to keep in mind to make it easier. If you are playing on your own, remember to consistently queue for the Yeti and complete your games as Mei, this helps increase your chances every game.

Overwatch 2 does not support this Intel GPU as our system requirements only support certain cards from AMD/Nvidia listed Here. Full system requirements can be found Here. The game will try to run on any hardware it’s able to run on but when it comes to unsupported hardware this simply means we do not design or test the game to run on this hardware. Which sadly can result in unknown drivers or conflicts to occur.
