i have the season pass on steam but i can't seem to start the download nor is anything changed within the game. any reason for that? what should i do?
Try relaunching Steam, a couple of times if necessary, it lags sometimes like this. We're getting multiple reports about it.
Does it add anything for a new playthrough in the main game?
It's a sort of sidequest with your group just before the final fight, 6-8 hours long.

One of popular mods is known to cause this. Make sure you have all the mods updated.
Is only the DLC supposed to be delayed for Mac? I'm still on 1.1.7f with no prompt to update in the main branch. I didn't see anything about Mac delay for the 1.2 patch in the patch notes, but I may have missed it
Patch is coming a bit later as well. A critical problem with some versions of Mac hardware was discovered just before it was supposed to go live, and it's being re-checked now. We're sorry for the delay.
Are there any new items in the DLC that will carry over to the main game, i.e. in Kingmaker there was a goblen merchant that appeared with the DLC items that you could purchase
I don't think so, but there's a buff that will persist if you make it through the DLC.
After installing the new patch I've noticed HUGE performance issues. Now, I'm running this on a meh laptop, and I've always run the game at the lowest settings. Even this morning pre-update it was running fine. Framerate went down a lot and all animation (both in game and crusade mode) has slowed to a crawl. I've restarted my system and the game multiple times, just finished uninstalling and reinstalling the game, and checked multiple saves on multiple characters and it's all tortoise speed. Is it just me?
Sounds like a non-updated mod. Do you use any?
I did that, and uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing is working, it still gets stuck at 60% loading
Do you use any mods? If so, you may need for them to get updated.
After the update, when I open the game it gets to the loading screen and loading bar gets to about 60% and just stops and stays there. I’ve restarted steam/pc, verified files, deleted extra files from C:\, nothings worked.
I will uninstall and reinstall, hopefully that works.
Clean up the folder: C:\Users\\AppData\LocalLow\Owlcat Games\Pathfinder Wrath Of The Righteous from everything except saved games, portraits and screenshots.
Please get the season pass up on EGS too.
There are some technical issues with it, unfortunately.
I own the same version on gog, i think there’s a glitch on the gog website where it should be free for us but isn’t right now
Do you use GOG Galaxy? We get reports of similar problems but Galaxy seems to be working properly.

Fully compatible. The only problems may arise if you had mods and they aren't updated yet. Then you have to wait.

Has anyone else had the game crashing to desktop when they try to boot it up after the update? I've verified the files and don't have any mods installed.
Try removing all files except saved games, portraits and screenshots, from C:\Users\\AppData\LocalLow\Owlcat Games\Pathfinder Wrath Of The Righteous. Check if it helps.
