Did you guys put in extra code to actually log all the dice rolls that players get, and the resulting outcome of masters in the map generation? Without having done that, and then analysing that data, you cannot possibly have determined that the bug doesn't exist.
Incidentally, I'm not saying it does exist (I'm actually pretty sure you're right that it doesn't), I'm just questioning the methodology by which you prove that it doesn't. Just having a bunch of testers running the game and finding that it works for them, or having a coder debug the code and finding it appears to do what he expects doesn't actually prove anything.
Yes
Absolute and utter BS. Its not even about natural masters spawning, which was 100% bugged, because with those % people are either having the luckiest/unluckiest streams of master spawns,(i had a string of 10+ cassia spawns in a row, and yes i was checking my natural spawns) or the system is buggy as f**k.
Also, both me and my friend in a private league ran the same ammount of maps. I was drowning in map missions. And he had 0. And by 0 i mean he only got the passive daily missions from the first day and nothing again, till severall patches later. I would seriously love to hear someone explain the odds of me with the same ammount of maps ran having 10+ mission of every master, and my friend having 1 of each and nothing else.
Cassia is not a master.
Oooh just wanted to pop in here and say that Eben from our community team is hosting the interview and put the entire video together. I think he did an amazing job! It's really cool to see us putting out this kind of video content.
Yes! He did great
I understand the sentiment, but data can be wrong on many levels. Your query could give a resultset back, but all that could mean is it got recorded, it might still not have been visible for the player.
I was also one of the players who strongly believed I've had no natural spawns. Although I hadn't voiced it before now. I even have a Master seeks Help prophecy for over 3 weeks that has never triggered.
I'll run a 100 maps tonight and see if it was all in my head or not.
I understand what you mean about data but were really thorough in our process.
Thanks for confirming that me running hundreds of maps on 4 characters and never once seeing a beast, sulphite deposit, or Zana is just me being "wrong" and "unlucky" because your game is working right.
There are literally no accounts that haven't spawned masters.
Hi everyone,
If you've been following the subreddit since Delirium's launch you'll likely be aware that some players have reported that they weren't able to spawn masters in the wild (i.e. masters wouldn't spawn unless they forced them to through Atlas missions or Sextants).
I mentioned previously that we were spending time investigating this and I'm happy to report that our investigation has concluded. We have found no cases where a user has been unable to spawn any masters in their maps.
The way this system works is that if you are running a map where you have not force-spawned a master through an Atlas mission, then you'll have a 10% chance to spawn a master naturally. The system will roll for a chance of whether or not there is a master and then roll again for which of the five masters you would get. This results in a 2% chance per master on maps where masters have not otherwise spawned. Note: Tane and Cassia are not masters, they a...
Read more External link āLOL at Chris' question at the end! Honestly the visuals look AMAZING, and the music fits perfectly, so unique yet fits perfectly. I really liked the more industrial one he talked about at the beginning especially.
PoE2 looks great, I hope I will have time to play it when it comes out.
edit: Eben my bad!
