Welcome back, we’ve got an update for you.

We’ve been experimenting with some new methods of game design, and have decided that this will be the final update for Phasmophobia.

We will be swiftly moving on to work on a new project named ‘Phasmophobia 2’, entering Early Access March 31st 2025 and releasing April 1st 2025.

Fixes

• Fixed a bug where you would crash if you got kicked
  
• Fixed a bug where the video cameras screen would turn green if they were placed on the belt
  
• Fixed a bug where DOTS projectors and glow sticks would affect sanity drain
  
• Fixed an issue where flashlight would roll away when thrown

Changes

• The anniversary decorations have been removed and the music on the boom box will now default to off
  
• Updated a lot of missing localisation for Turkish

• Fixed an exploit where you could point lights up at ceilings to prevent your sanity draining
  
• Fixed a bug where the journal case number was being increased by the amount of players in the game

• Removed the imgui.ini file check so you can now use Reshade again
  
• Removed the light cookie/ mask on the area light around you to make it easier to know when your flashlight is on
  
• The main menu music has now been moved to a boom box that you can click to mute the music

• Fixed an issue where the Jinn description was wrong
  
• Fixed a bug where the kitchen sink water wouldn't become dirty when the ghost turned it on
  
• Fixed a bug where the keybinds would reset when loading into a game
  
• Fixed a bug where your journal keybind changes wouldn't save
  
• Fixed a bug where you could hear muted players after they used the walkie talkie
  
• Fixed an issue where the ambient occlusion option was showing for VR players
  
• Fixed a bug where the connecting screen would stay after failing to connect to the server

Fixes

• Fixed a bug where if your windows calendar was set to Thai you could not connect to the game servers.
  
• Fixed a bug where the server names text could go outside of the box if the name was long.
  
• Fixed a bug where daily challenges gave no reward. This will fix with the next reset.
  
• Fixed several safe names that were being caught by the profanity filter.

Changes

• Willow: Slightly lowered all of the light switches to make them easier to press.
