We just published a new PS4 build to our Stage environment (the final internal dev environment before "Live") for our QA team to begin their final verification pass. We are considering this a potential release candidate, barring any new critical issues being found.

The update is complete and all PC servers are unlocked for play!

The #planetside2 update completed approximately 45 mins ahead of schedule. Servers in all regions are up and unlocked. We will be monitoring feedback throughout the day.

REMINDER: All PC servers will come down in 1 hour (6am PDT) for the new update. Downtime is expected to last 2 hours.

FYI - some bug fixes, mini-map performance improvements and Firestorm Implant tuning. 2 hour downtime, but targeting unlocking sooner if possible. #planetside2

ALERT: All PC servers will come down tomorrow, Thurs July 23, at 6am PT (3pm CEST) for the new update. Downtime should last 2 hours.

Tomorrow's patch brings balance changes to the Firestorm Implant, Voice Comms improvements, and other fixes.

Once this update is published, we will be able to get future PS4 updates much closer to new PC releases.

@jgolenbo is working on patch notes now. The last content update to PS4 was Dec 18th 2019. This update will include nearly every change that has gone into each #planetside2 PC update over the past 7+ months. So the testing process is a bit more time-intensive than usual...(cont)

The Public Test Server is now unlocked with a new update!

Today's patch includes community-requested balance changes to the Firestorm implant, voice comms improvements, and other bug fixes.
