[2022] Question about cross play (PC)

I know this game is coming to the Xbox live game pass, but I personally like to own a lot of my games that I’m more directly interested in.

So while it hurts me that this game isn’t coming to steam, I’m considering buying it on Uplay. However, I know none of my friends will pay for the game, and just use game pass at most.

I know there’s cross play between platforms, but just to double check, this also applies across uplay and XBL while both on PC, correct?
