[2022] Am I right in assuming it doesn’t matter if a lvl 10 operator goes kia and I fail the rescue I won’t lose levels?

Sorry if this doesn’t make sense.

I was playing as Ella and she was level 9. She was kia along with the rest of the team. When I went in solo to rescue her I somehow failed that aswell and she went for level 9 to 6 which was pretty annoying.

If this happens with a level 10 op does it matter if the rescue attempt is failed? I think I read it doesn’t matter as they can’t lose any xp once they are level 10
