For almost 2 years i have the server side to central US instead of east us. I live in canada montreal right next to Ubisoft headquarters. I tried multiple time to contact and fix the issue, but having a conversation with the technical support is like talking to a wall. They tried to help me, but nothing of their procedure helped. It is not a problem with my internet , it only happens with Rainbow Six siege. No other games has that issue and everything else is fine. I am asking the forum if anyone else has that issue or a fix about that. I am tired of having 50ping every match and the game thinks i live in central side of America. Thanks in advance for any help.

By the way, changing server side in the txt file in documents/mygames doesn't help neither work.

Hi BaconBoyLive! I'm incredibly sorry to hear that you're being connected to the wrong datacenter in Rainbow Six Siege. I also apologize that our Support team has not been able to provide the desired assistance! If the steps in this support article did not help, then I would highly suggest completing this troubleshooting guide. Those steps will ensure that your connection to the game's online services is not being interrupted and that it's completely optimized. This is not meaning to say there is anything wrong with your connection solely, but I do believe there could stand to be some improvement between our online services and yours! Completing those steps should help get you connected to the right datacenter.

Also, please comment your case number for me to review further. Thanks!

Hello!

The case number is the reference number for your conversation with our support agent. Not to worry however, I managed to find it.

I can see that regardless of which data centre you connect to, you are receiving the same amount of ping. This could indicate your router is simply not taking the fastest route or that is the fastest speed it is able to achieve.

We use the Microsoft Azure servers, not our own. You can check your latency to them here: https://www.azurespeed.com/Azure/Latency

If after following our connectivity troubleshooting steps your issue remains, my recommendation would be to contact your Internet Service Provider. They may be able to do tests to see if that is the lowest latency they are able to achieve.

I hope that helps!

Thanks for getting back to us BaconBoyLive and I am sorry to hear that issue remains after extensive troubleshooting.

Just to double-check, have you had a chance to try and test this by using alternative connection, to see whether there is any difference at all?

I appreciate your swift response there.

What were your findings when you used different connection? Was the ping around the same, worse or better?

I have reopened one of your case that has been on-going since a while back (11296514), so when you get a chance, can you visit our support website and in that particular case, can you attach your system files (DxDiag and MsInfo), that will allow us to get a better insight into this.

Once it's done, let us know and we will take it from there.
