The game randomly crashes when the game hangs and needs closing in task manager. The game screen is frozen with no sound. Are there others having this random game hang? I would see an "application hang" event in event viewer for the game.

Hiya @nongenuine!

Really sorry to see your game is freezing!

Do you notice anything else before the game freezes and the sound cuts out such as high ping or any other issues? Does this happen regardless of the map or mode you're playing?

To start, let's try some general troubleshooting. We'd also want to try clearing the Ubisoft Connect cache as that can help with some odd issues as well!

If your game and preferred launcher are on different drives, it would be worth installing them both to the same drive as your system OS to see if that has any impact on the issue as well.

If the freezing continues after trying these steps, could you create a support case and attach your system files so we can look into this further with you?

Hello @nongenuine thanks for getting back to us.

There could be a number of things causing the game to crash for you, we do have a few players that have mentioned the game stuttering and freezing, but I have yet to see that Task Manager must be used to close his.

Please follow the general troubleshooting steps given by Ubi Chiral above, as they contain the most common fixes for game crashes and will help rule out a few possible causes.

Should the steps not help you, we will need you to contact us with your system files as explained in the post above so we can help you further, thank you

Thanks for providing this other suggestion @NO_F3AR

@nongenuine as a general rule, we don't encourage the use of overclocking with our games, whether that be Ram, CPU, GPU, in case it causes performance issues with the game and instead advise using your specs at stock default settings.

As a side note, if you have been overclocking your system specs, have you checked all of your specs are set to default stock values, and you have disabled any overclocking software you have such as MSI Afterburner etc or any similar overclocking software if you use it?

As previously advised, please feel free to make a support ticket with us for further help!

Hope it continues not to crash like that then @nongenuine. Thanks for letting us and others know that here.
