Hi all,

I play R6 on laptop and I have an external monitor. I prefer to play the game on the laptop monitor due to the higher refresh rate. However, after installed the new season (Neon Dawn), the game launches on my external monitor and I could not choose my laptop monitor in display setting as only the external monitor is available. How can I solve the problem?

Thanks in advance.

Hey JustTooPotato! My apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. In your initial post, are you referring to the in-game settings or the settings in Windows? You should be able to right-click on your Desktop, select Display Settings, then choose which monitor you want to be the primary.

Does it allow you to change to windowed at all? I know it's not an ideal solution but I'm wondering whether if you set the game to launch in windowed first you can drag it to the correct monitor and then hit ALT+Enter to full screen or set it manually to full screen in display settings? Can you also confirm whether the same issue occurs when launching without Vulkan as well if possible? Thanks.

We've received a few other reports of this so I'm going to report this to the development team for further investigation.

2. Can choose which monitor to run the game if it is launched without Vulkan.

Hope that helps.
Yep that's great. Just needed to confirm whether it was definitely exclusive to Vulkan and based on the reports received it seems to be. This issue has now been flagged with the development team. If we require any further info from you we'll let you know. Thanks!

Thanks for the report. We're on the case now and investigating this issue.

Hey there, welcome to the forums,

Can I just check that your issue is also exclusive to Vulkan for clarity?

Many thanks

So IT IS vulkan related issue, no problem with standard API.

I play on a laptop with an additionnal screen, and with vulkan it always put the second monitor default and can't detect/switch to my main monitor (laptop again). The only fix I found was window+shift+left arrow key to switch between screens but it's not perfect since it only work in fullscreen mode and apply a weird resolution. Another "fix" is to unplug hdmi link to my second monitor for it to finally detect the laptop screen.

Can you guys finally fix this ? The performance with Vulkan are far better than the regular mode and I don't want to play without Vulkan API anymore...
Hey! I'm sorry to hear you're also facing the issue, I understand it's frustrating.

Our team are well aware of this and they are working towards a fix. We don't have any more information just yet, but we release pretty frequent patches and it will be added to the patch notes.

All the best!
