game is freezing continuously mid game, it freezes for 5 to 7 seconds, i have updated drivers, downgraded drivers but problem still persists, I am running vulkan

Hello guys,

We are well aware of reports of increased freezes in-game when playing following the hotfix and are investigating.

In the meantime, some players have noted that disabling the overlay has helped while we're still looking into this.

When we have any updates we'll post them here.

Thanks for sharing this @InventTheLife , glad to see disabling the overlay help!

The overlay and it's tendencies to cause performance issues is also well known to and being looked into by the team already so we hope to have updates on both investigations in the future.

@InventTheLife Thank you so much for taking the time to gather all of these details and let us know about them. I truly appreciate your help with this issue! I've gone ahead and passed this information along to our team to help with their investigation. I also noticed that it was reported by other players that setting an FPS limit seemed to fix this issue for them. If you haven't yet, would you mind also testing that out and letting me know if you see any improvement at all? Thanks in advance, and again, really appreciate your help with getting this figured out. 🙂

I'm sorry to hear you're also experiencing freezing issues in R6S. Rest assured that our team is looking into this. As soon as more information becomes available, it will be posted here.

@Rajsio Hey! I understand the frustration and do apologize for that. Please know that we are Ubisoft Support agents, so while we do our best to confirm issues on our end through our own gameplay, we aren't able to actually test out the issues or rollback errors, etc. as we are not part of the Dev team or QA team. This is why we pass along all the information players give us to the Dev teams, as they are the ones who actually figure out the issues and get them resolved. This is also why we ask for videos so often! The videos are very helpful for the teams to watch and get a better idea of what's going on so they can turn around and test it out themselves. Again, I'm sorry for the frustration this has caused but please know the teams are working to get this fixed as soon as they can! Once we have any updates, we'll be sure to update the relevant threads and also post them here. Thank you!
