For past 1.5 month i am having issue with Rainbow 6 Siege Game performance where all of a sudden seeing heavy fps loss and heavy stutter plus crashes
Haven't made any hardware changes, tried everything from Verifying game files, disabling overlay, reinstalling game, reinstalled OS, and disabling everything on startup to see if anything conflicting with game still have same crashed.
Also disabled overclocks on both GPU and CPU still the issue persist.
My system specs are:
8700k CPU , 3080ti GPU, 32GB 3200Mhz Ram, Window 11 latest Build, 1440P 240Hz and 1440P 144Hz monitor
I was getting smooth 320 Plus average FPS on Vulkan with drops of around 20 FPS depending on what is happening in game not more than that, but after Snow Brawl Mid season update in December my FPS in Vulkan dropped to 240 Average and in game sometime drop to 170 FPS and freezes and crash to desktop, Same thing happening is DX11 but that is giving me better FPS than Vulkan all of a sudden but crash and freeze also happening their.
Now i have locked my FPS to 160 at Nvidia Driver still at Vulkan their is drop to 50 FPS and freeze and crash, same with DX11 but their is less Crash and freeze compared to Vulkan but still happens.
I only see this behavior when playing multiplayer and freeze and crash happens when i go into gun fight or flicks but game have better fps at TH.
Only having these issue with Rainbow 6 Siege, haven't seen these issue with any other games installed on my pc
Also game is installed on SSD and have done everything provided on Internet or Ubisoft forums
please help me out

@xybershop Thank you for your reply. With the system you have you should be able to obtain past 60FPS.

I know it is a long shot but is your BIOS up to date, personally I had some FPS issues in some games and after updating my BIOS it was resolved.

Also have you fully updated Windows?

@monsieuren

Hey there.

I'm sorry to hear that these crashing issues have persisted for you. At this stage if you are still experiencing issues we'll need to continue this on a support case and take a look over your system files to see if they might shed some light on exactly what's causing these issues for you.

I have created a case for you and you can submit those files to us by following the instructions here. Please also send a message to us on the case once those files have been uploaded

This link explains how to generate your MsInfo and DxDiag files for us to attach to the case.

Cases are automatically closed after 5 days of inactivity so if you're reading this and 5 days have already passed please let us know and we'll re-open the case for you.

Thanks!

@hades-son Hey there! Sorry to hear you're also encountering these issues.
As a first step, could you have a look at our Basic PC Troubleshooting guide, making sure to verify your game files?

Another important step to take when you're experiencing these crashes is to make sure that your game and launcher(s) are on the same drive, preferably the hard drive.

If after you've gone through the steps, you're still encountering these freezes and crashes, please reach out to us via one of the methods below with copies of your MSINFO and DXDiag. Please include a brief description of your issue.

Support Website
Twitter DMs
Facebook PMs

If you're contacting us through Twitter or Facebook, make sure to also include your Ubisoft username and email address, so that we can ensure we're looking at the correct account.

@nt_rifekgames Hey there, I'm sorry to hear that the provided troubleshooting didn't help. At this point, I'd recommend that you reach out to our Support Team via our Support Website, Twitter DMs, or Facebook PMs with copies of your MSINFO and DXDiag and a description of the issue (you can even send a link to your post here). Hello @sparky_sct thank you for getting in contact with us.

If you are encountering a crash in-game, then your game/computer may do one of the following things >>

- PC restarts itself
- Game or launcher closed itself down
-The game launcher asked you to send a crash report
- PC displayed a certain coloured screen
- The game froze so you couldn't control anything

If your issue is not listed above, it may be a disconnection you have encountered instead.

Did you receive any kind of warning messages such as >

- Any error message or error code from the game itself
- An error message from Windows
- An error message from supporting software (DirectX, BattlEye, Fairfight)

There are several different types of crashes and disconnections that can affect players and may have different solutions based on if you received any error messages.
