Is it just me or are the recent lighting changes (all maps, started noticing after wind bastion) seeming super unrealistic and straying away from the heart of the game. I get ubisoft wants to remove the possibility of chilling in a dark corner for extended periods of time but this just crossed the line. At best the lighting looks like stock version of minecraft, meanwhile back in 2017 it looked amazing and actually had shades. Is this a problem with only my PC or is everyone just lacking any sort of shade contrast and vibrancy that makes the game look worse than minecraft shaders run on a core i3 with integrated graphics?

Are you specifically referring to the new lighting on Villa?

I haven't managed to play Villa since the update went live. Could you get a screenshot of this so I can get it reported to the proper people?

Oh wow, hello light. Yeah, that's definitely not intentional. I'll make sure the team is aware. I appreciate you taking the time to make this video!

In this video (https://youtu.be/t75H8X-UwWg) it shows super clearly the differences of lighting that’s most notably noticeable in penthouse how it’s a huge downgrade in lighting. You’ll also notice that the corners used to have shadows making things seem more contrasting and vibrant. I’m just pointing out the degradation of shading. Do you guys have any word on if anyone else is complaining about this or is it just me and my friends?
Hey, sorry for getting back to you a bit late.

Thank you very much for the video, I can forward this to the R6S team as feedback!

I personally have not seen any other reports of bad lighting, the only reports I have seen are actual bugs, such as the super light above.

Rainbow Six Siege is constantly changing and the dev team really want to make it the best it can be. We will see what the future holds, they will keep making changes with each season

Enjoy your day!

I actually noticed it best at the bottom of the center island in kitchen on villa, if you go on a drone or in character, theres absolutely no shading whatsoever at the bottom of the table as there should be, it just seems unnatural the amount of lighting that spreads in the room. If you could pass that alongside the dev team too, to fix that on maps, the small shading on each of the maps under the tables and desks.
Thanks for your response DrFluffykins and will make sure this gets forwarded together with the rest of the report .
