I would like to dig-up an issue described on reddit a couple of years before.
For the last few months I was helping my colleague with the issue he has. There were different amendments which we applied to resolve it, but still it seems to me like mitigating the symptoms rather than resolving the root cause.
Today I've stumbled on this post on reddit which seems to be the best, comprehensive description of it. Containing symptoms, causes findings and possible fixes.

Looks to me like R6 is consuming so much CPU (mostly because of high FPS count) that there is no space for some of the core functions like I/O devices causing mouse lag, stuttering, voice breaking etc.
Now, in our case lowering FPS and setting the priority on R6 process to low in task manager helped. But still, it seems to me to be Pyrrhic victory. We all are not buying top trier GPUs just to lower FPS artificially right?.
