I don't have unlimited internet so I can't just go and re-update or re-download the game. Is there a work around so that I can play again without re-downloading the Crystal Guard update or the whole game.

Ubisoft Connect is asking me to update R6 with an update that is already installed, is there a fix?

Please help, thanks.

Hey there.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this. Few questions for you regarding this first of all,

When was the last time you updated the game?
Is the game installed to an external or internal drive?
Have you attempted verifying your installation?

Hello z00z thank you for answering those questions. I believe changing the location of your game folder may be the cause of this issue, as the game also comes with an installer for Ubisoft Connect, so changing the location of the games files may result in it also downloading an installer.

To try and resolve this try these two steps >

  • Use the locate installed game tool, to redirect your Ubisoft Connect launcher to the new location >

  • Should step one not work, please uninstall your Ubisoft Connect launcher and install it to your HDD too. If using a second launcher such as Epic or Steam, you may need to also move or reinstall these launchers on your HDD also.

Your system files should shed a bit of light on other possible causes and give us the install locations, as well as any Windows and program faults that could be causing this.
