I don't know if anyone else has been running into this, but ever since the most recent free weekend, the number of hackers per game has gone through the roof. The most recent of these hacks is very startling: the a hacker forcing your game to crash. No lie this has happened to myself and several of my friends, and even an entire lobby at once. Tonight we were in a squad, and randomly all of our games crashed simultaneously (verified since we are all on discord communicating). Thinking this is odd, we send a crash report and then relaunch, reconnect to unranked match, and find all but two people in the lobby have been kicked. Everyone slowly filters back into the match, and in chat everyone reports their game crashing in an odd manner. Half a round later, everyone's games crashes, again SIMULTANEOUSLY. At this point we are all convinced its a hacker. Attempt to relaunch and rejoin again, and find all of us have 60+ minute abandon bans, which cannot be removed.

One of my friends also had this happen in another match a few days ago where someone in chat admitted they could force a persons game to crash, and then forced his game to crash, and when he relaunched he had a 120 hour ban (didn't even know that was possible), which was only resolved by contacting ubi support to remove it.

This hack is definitely ruining the experience, and raises the question the of security of the game as an application on my system, because forcing my game to crash locally should not be possible. In fact in windows event viewer, there was a warning raised that an application did not have the security permission to access my local machine at the time the game was forced to crash.

Until I know that this type of hack has been resolved, and the game is secure enough that it will not allow a bug into my system, I will not be playing Rainbow Six.

@doc_luv Hey! Thank you for reaching out about this and I am very sorry to hear that you and your friends have experienced this crashing issue that appears to have been caused by another player.

So we can get a clearer image of what is happening, please answer the following:

You mentioned that all of your games crashed, did this include the enemy team?
Did you or any of your friends receive an error message or code when this occurred?
You mentioned that in event viewer there was an application that did not have security permission, does it say which one in particular?

We can understand your concerns with this and will do everything we can to help you with this.

Thank you for your time.

@mplab-tesse Sorry to hear that this has been happening to you too. I have heard of reports in the past of players spamming the chat box to crash the game, was this the case for you?

What platform are you playing the game on also?

@Nutlesscats_A2G Welcome to the forums and thank you for the video. I'm sorry to hear about this behavior happening in a match. I've gone ahead and submitted a report to the Rainbow Six Siege team. Thanks for supporting the community.

@Padla_Sutulaya Ubisoft Support is unable to remove temporary bans. I'll take a look at the support ticket for you, however. Please provide the case number so I can review the issue.

Hello @r0bbl thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you experienced this recently.

Can you please tell me if you encountered a lag spike, before you were disconnected from the game?

Were you the only player to be affected, or did this affect other players in your match and they also were disconnected and received a penalty?

Were any particular error codes or messages are shown on screen when this happened? This will allow us to check for any patterns in players who may have been affected on the same date.

Hopefully, this was a one-time event but if you are still having trouble with your connection please let us know so we can investigate further.
