I am saying - when a cheater is banned, to make it as fair as possible for everyone involved in all the matches the cheater was involved in - we make it as if the matches didn't happen.

Please read the blog I linked as I believe it will clarify some of the questions you are asking.

I do and I have. All cheating events are reported in the uplay ticketing system with video from shadowplay and the unique uplay ID of the cheater with the exact date and time it took place. They don't check tickets. They rely exclusively on automation via BattleEye. I can post a few here bit the mods will likely delete the post for "naming and shaming."

We check tickets and do impose sanctions based on what's provided in there. It's a multi-facet system and BattlEye is only one part of it.

Also, some literature as to why we nullify the results of all matches the cheater participated in, regardless of victory or defeat: https://rainbow6.ubisoft.com/siege/en-us/news/152-342821-16/dev-blog-mmr-roll-back

When we announced our Y4 roadmap, we revealed several major playlist changes with the addition of the Newcomer Playlist, updates to Ranked Playlists and Casual, and more. For this purpose, we created the Playlist cell, a multidisciplinary team dedicated to working on the Playlists. With the playlist changes, our goals were to provide more guidance in the onboarding experience for new players, foster a healthier competitive scene at the higher ranks of play, while also finding better ways to disseminate information to ease the leap between casual and Ranked.

This dev blog aims to provide insight on the changes and improvements that have been made to Playlists throughout Y4, and will shed some light on the decision process that goes into helping us look for ways that we can improve the player experience for all types of players in our comm... Read more

The only reason I can think of why the bans are only 15 days is because Ubisoft believes that players who are 'boosted by cheating' are in some ways victims of the cheats
This definitely isn't the case I can assure you, otherwise we wouldn't be banning them. If they carry on and do it again on the same account, we'll know about it and act on it.

Hey there,

Why are people only banned for 15 days when they have played with a cheat in a large number of matches?
15 days is the highest length of temporary ban we issue, we skip all previous time lengths and go straight to 15 days. We keep track of who has been previously banned for "being boosted by a cheater" and if the same behaviour continues on that account, we can ban permently.

Why are cheats allowed to cheat for a large number of matches?
The battle against the people who create new cheating software is never going to be over, for any game this will be a 24/7 fight. When a new cheat is created, Batt... Read more

Hi there,

The ban for 'Being Boosted By A Cheater' will not be applied for 1 match played in a pre-made squad. This would of been a large number of pre-made squads that were played with someone who has been banned for cheating in-game.

A result of this ban is a rank, seasonal stat reset and you won't recieve the rank charm for that season.

This current sanction will have been from late last season and only applied at the start of Ember Rise when the Boosted ban wave went out.

Hello,

Your account was banned correctly for 'Being Boosted by a Cheater'.

You have been queuing with someone in a pre-made squad X amount of times who has been banned for cheating, this ban cannot be removed and will expire after 15 days from the date of issue.

Follow-up! Sorry it took a while but as Uplay+ is new I'm not completely familiar with the ins and outs of what it offers.

It's a bug and you should have access to the new season operators. We're trying to get it resolved quickly.
