Alright, I am having a problem.

Bug or glitch: After the update I can't seem to be able to open Rocket League anymore. I think it's due to my resolution (which is 7780x1440).

Platform: Steam

Everytime I try to start it it instantly crashes. And after that steam still thinks the game is running and I have to reboot everytime I try to start the game.

Does anyone know a solution for this?

Thanks for the report.

Try going into your Steam launch options (Library > right-click Rocket League > Properties > Set Launch Options).
In there you can enter: -dx9
Hit okay and try launching Rocket League again.

No.

Primary: 1920x1080@144

Secondary: 2560x1440@60

Edit: Out of curiosity I set both to 1920x1080@60 and that did not change anything.

This is likely related to the DirectX 11 changeover. Please try reverting to DX9 and let me know if you're still having this issue. Steps below.

To opt out of DirectX 11, and revert to DirectX 9:

  • Open Steam
  • Right-click Rocket League, select Properties
  • Choose Select Launch Options under the General tab
  • Paste in -dx9, select OK
  • Start Rocket League

Already verified files and no mods are running

Platform: Steam

Edit: Turning off virus scanner fixed the problem. I'm using F-Secure for anyone who wants to know, and only excluding rocketleague.exe is a permanent solution to the game (until the next update, cause this has been happening almost every RL update)

It seems like this issue is due to your antivirus blocking Rocket League. Try whitelisting Rocket League and running Steam as an admin to resolve the issue.

Are both monitors the same resolution?

Yes indeed!

Edit: Happens without GifYourGame, BakkesMod and f.lux, which I normally use. Seems to crash consistently at one of maybe two specific points in that one replay I'm currently trying to watch.

Would you be able to DM me the replay?

Bug: After the new update my controller does not vibrate anymore when I hit the ball for example. When I set it to high it does do it but it just feels odd in my hands. (what im trying to say is medium and high do not feel like the old settings)

EDIT: I did read the patchnotes. Im sorry if I was unclear but sadly the controller vibration does not feel the same when I swap it to medium or high. If its high I finaly feel it when I touch the ball but when I boost my controller is spazzing out. I use a xbox one controller btw. But it could be just me that cant get the old feel back.

Intentional change, please see the patch notes. If you want rumble on during the entire boost period, switch the setting to Medium or Heavy.

If your Rocket Pass items are not displaying, please restart your game and they should re-appear. We had a late static data push that caused this. Thanks, all!

Bug: None of my Rocket Pass 5 items are loading

The car is supposed to be a Chikara, but it and all of the RP5 items are missing from inventory.

Restart and check again for me, please? I think we had a late static data push that caused this, should be fixed now.

It's been about a week since we last chatted and I wanted to say that we are still looking over responses and documenting what your feedback is/are.

I can't thank you all enough for your responses and replies. We know you all love the game - as we do - and we take your feedback seriously. But, just because we don't address specific feedback or suggestions, doesn't mean we ignored it.

What a save!

Strange, just checked on mobile and it's working for me.

Most players won't notice a difference in terms of FPS, but we've seen a lot of players say the game alt+tabs a lot faster now without any sort of perf dip when you go back into the game client.

Once the update is live, go to the Blueprints tab, Click the left stick/right-click with mouse on a Blueprint you want to trade in. This will bring up a window with all Blueprints in your inventory that match series and rarity. From there you choose the other four you want to trade in. (Adding this to the Patch Notes, too.)

FYI, just added two more bugs to the fixed list:

  • Fixed appearance of the Soft Edge Decal on Chikara, Chikara G1, and Chikara GTX
  • Inventory filter no longer resets after previewing a revealed Blueprint
