I've already left survey feedback, but rereleasing the same Challenger Halo would be boring and is a sure way to reduce the likelihood of people wanting to compete/participate in FSW again. Part of the excitement was due to the novelty/exclusivity of these items, so I'd strongly suggest the development team consider brand new items and abilities (I'm sure the survey data will also be informative).

I would suggest a new Challenger item, a Challenger amulet/necklace/pendant, and perhaps an entirely new item that can be earned. I think it would be fine to reintroduce the same skilling capes, and inverted master capes, and pets. I would also suggest a new version of the skilling pets, and perhaps just make the chances of unlocking the old halo pets based on chance.

Maybe, the new item replacing the Halo of Returning could be the Black Partyhat? The Halo of Returning was a cool homeage to the Di...

Thanks for the feedback! I'd imagine we'd run a survey if/when we start preparing for another run of FSW. I'll remember this comment for if/when the time comes :)

Thanks for the clarification. I was wondering what the thought process was behind the plan to make Halo of Returning discontinued and the Challenger halo being obtainable again through similar competitive periods in the future. Could you elaborate a bit on that? And understood about the possibility that those plans can be changed!

The idea was to, in the case that we regularly run FSW events, give all players a new reward to chase every time with the milestone hunt style system, while giving more players another shot at the established, more sparse competitive reward every time.

Thanks for the response. I'd like to see more of those Reddit Q&As. I'd imagine those are much easier to setup.

Mod Miva drove that for us when streams became more complex to pull together for a while there. Great to hear you enjoyed it - could be a great option until our new CM is in. We'll take a look at what we can do.

I moved to Head of Community & Social from Lead mid last year - still very much involved in everything but in a different way!

Any chance of an FSW data stream?

Data streams are back on the menu this year hopefully. When that will be, not sure - but I'm confident we can get to them again.

Are we ever going to see streams return to the stream room?

Yes! We just got a huge shipment of lights and tech to bring it back to life - but there's a lot of setup work still to happen. We might be able to run some streams from there again in Spring time but nothing confirmed just yet.

The change has been reported and folks are looking into it, unfortunately, we don't have an update on it atm.

We're going to be doing a lot more streams again in general this year, Q&A streams included.

Part of the responsibilities of the next CM we bring on board in the coming months will be to own our streams and be out there with all of you. They might be a little more sporadic still until that point, but once they've settled in, we'll be looking to get back to regular streams as quickly as we can.

JagexFrosch, are you saying the plan is for Halo of Returning and Challenger Halo to be discontinued after this event?

In future FSW events, there will be new unique rewards then?

Hi! The plan was for the Halo of Returning and Luma to be the only exclusive/discontinued 'items' and the Challenger Halo being obtainable through similar competitive periods in the future. However, as I mentioned in another comment recently, I can't guarantee that this plan will be followed in the future, since I don't have the power to overwrite higher-up's decisions if they would like to use these items in the future in some way.

Thank you for the reply, I understand there can never be any absolutes and will keep that in mind :)

Also really had a great time on FSW. It was a refreshing way to play rs3 from the start to revisit the heights of progression once again, was sad when it ended but look forward to more game modes like this.

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Welcome to RuneScape! :D

Yes, F2P can level member skills to 5 (20 for Archaeology), to get a 'free sample' of the skill. Member skills are lowered to this cap on F2P worlds.

You earn Agility XP mostly by running laps of Agility courses. F2P have access to the agility course in the north-east corner of Burthorpe. Click the next obstacle you can reach on a course to progress.

Miva you have been nothing short of an absolute wonder to work alongside and one of the best tutors I could ever ask for in the role.

Thank you for everything you have done for myself and the RuneScape community as a whole and I wish you the very best in your future endeavors. I will miss you massively.

I just want to hop in and say a massive thank you to Mod Miva for everything they've done over the past year and a half.

Miva worked so hard on so much behind the scenes I can't even begin to list it all, but most of all, Miva was a champion of your feedback and voice to the fullest extent every single day.

We are currently in the progress of hiring our next Community Manager, but that's a story for another time. For now, we wish you all the best for what's next Miva - we'll sorely miss you.

Hi all,

I'm sad to say that today is the day I say goodbye to Jagex and the wonderful RuneScape community.

I've had first-hand experience with the level of dedication that some RuneScape players have. I have witnessed you being angry, ecstatic, and critical, as well as defending the J-Mods from particularly hostile comments. You should never let go of the enthusiasm you have for the game, regardless of the circumstances.

Although my time here was brief, I feel that we made some lasting memories together. I came to Jagex as a seasoned Community manager, but I still picked up a lot of important knowledge from you. Really appreciate it. I value your brutal honesty and openness as well.

Best wishes to you, from me. Adieu!

In short, no.

When you upgrade to a Jagex account in future you will be able to create and / or merge multiple RuneScape characters onto one Jagex account from the "Jagex accounts Closed Beta" stage.

All that happened is we've tried to make that roadmap a little less cluttered. Feedback has been noticed though and as we approach release there'll be more exciting communications about this and everything else that comes with Jagex accounts which will make things more obvious.

Edit: You can also see Mod Fife discuss Jagex accounts in the OSRS Winter Summit here. We in Publishing Platform aren't a part of the OSRS team so this applies to RuneScape and Old School RuneScape.

It's a big purple book that drops on the floor next to your item when you get a unique. If you're online now, I can throw my darts at Nex in the hopes we get an item in order for the book to appear.
