Fix in the works for the clock, but its not very high priority as while its annoying its not gamebreaking. With Vorkath and the Christmas events being prepared and launched in the last few weeks they have taken the focus and so non critical bugs like the clock aren't being prioritized.

Chances are various things will be temporarily broken when the next graphical reworks are done too. There is just so much content in this game to go over.

This is probably why we had so much resistance from this project being requested for years.

Thanks for the flag on this, I'll see if I can get a picture of the before and after and flag that up to the team! (Who will then, in turn, dare to disturb Blkwitch during her powerful rituals of graphical magic)

Beta is still ongoing, right now it's in a refinement kinda phase as it's initial launch and and subsequent updates have brought on plenty of feedback and mods Sponge and Ryan are continuing their work on individual aspects of combat (last I checked in sponge was cleaning up various weapon special attacks and Ryan was making melee channels function better)

We are looking to bring another update soon but no ETA right now as there is a need to update the beta branch to include newest content such as vorkath so that player saves function as intended and with today's update adding the Christmas village it would be best to wait for that before updating the beta branch.

You've done a great job at conveying a lot of the different visuals and traits into each sword, well done :)

A good next step would be to see how each one looks while being held by a generic fantasy character so that you can iterate and perfect the weightiness, silhouettes, and general shape language.

If I had a penny for every time someone's linked me that 5 year old prototype since I started work on Excalibur, I'd have 7 pennies. ;)

Unfortunately, Mod Sova's experiment didn't prove to be viable for release. I did some refactoring of the action bar code for Excalibur that moves us a step closer, though, at least for specific situational cases.

I think you missed that part of ThinkTwiceDude comment.

So if you use defensives instead of moving since you get rooted even if you are outside the square ice thing, assuming because the ice thingy is bigger than the visual representation ie Kerapac lightning.

So for normal mode you still best to use anticipate with prism active to negate the square ice thingy and ensure familiar survives even after the update.

D'oh, I just saw familiars and my brain finished the sentence - I'm struggling today, need more coffee.

It went live with the publication of the blog - it was worded vaguely because we weren't entirely sure on the timings with which the hotfix could be deployed but I'll update the wording now.

On Monday, we'll be applying an update to hopefully make a more visually cohesive experience. The Zonal ice breath from Vorkath will no longer damage familiars if you escape the attack yourself.

Personally I don't agree with the Undead Giant being the incentive to do HM, its just an inconvenience that prolongs kills. Better loot should be the incentive to do HM. Maybe add a skin for Vorkie where Zem rides on top unlocked when you get X HM kills.

Imagine if when doing Kerapac NM, every time he spawns he dances to Sea Shanty for one minute before flying down to fight in order to incentivize players to do HM to waste less time.

The suggestion of the ramping damage is one I spoke with the team about, and it's one we're exploring.

Yes indeed! Essentially I figured out a solution to fix Excalibur the hard way in the end. (You'll be able to drag Excalibur from your backpack onto your action bar and choose whether that slot is Activate or Wield/Remove, similar to a vulnerability bomb.)

Community Management have a video prepped to narrate all my Excalibur changes, planned to distribute across our social channels next week.

Good news! The audio team also have a community hitlist fix in flight that removes a looping crystal chime bgsound near the banks in the Tower of Voices and the Max Guild. :)

Assuming it isn't postponed (the audio fixes mentioned in this thread begin release candidate testing on Monday), it'll hopefully release in the December community hitlist on Dec 4th. :)
