I'm going to remove the effect for now. I think that the majority of the feedback in here is correct and sentiment is shared by the combat council.

I'm very glad we showed it on stream early (I nearly didn't) so this could happen.

We'll discuss something more interesting and less 'busted'. Some of the suggestions in this thread are pretty good (some are entirely unfeasible).

The other Elite Dungeon quality of life changes should be unaffected.

This is my point exactly, we could totally do that if we wanted! Or maybe a talking cabbage with dreams of world domination? Or a place where three different versions of the same character exist together? Runescape is a silly game at times.

There are no rules in a fantasy universe save for the ones they create for themselves, and it's not worth getting upset over something based on it not tracking with our reality (doubly so for such an innocuous and unimportant point).

I figured. There are two crucial bits of information on that page you appear to have glossed over - Reldo's blurb at the top, and that I was the author of this piece.

Real-world rules need not apply. Gods sit in their own classification - even if one started out life as one thing, upon ascension they are no longer that thing, and are no longer beholden to any limits/rules/anatomy/whatever that may have applied to said thing.

While there is often value in basing fantastical elements of fictional universes on real-world analogues (primarily for ease of understanding on the part of the audience), doing so is not a necessity.

it counts as a normal death, the ring of death doesn't Trigger.

I'm happy to reconfirm that this is still the case. You will still lose your life.

The ring of death does not save a HCIM from dying or losing lives.

I just double checked this on a test world with a HCIM and wearing a fully charged ring of death.

Okay so...

If we're being upfront to add a new Citadel plot would mean having to add to the Citadel's already 500+ map square setup.

It really isn't feasible to add another one as that'd then add another 20/30+ map squares, which means each variation of Citadel + plot type would have to be tested.

I'm the biggest advocate of Clans and I can tell you this wouldn't be worth it, when time could be spent elsewhere on Clans.

You'll still be able to do exactly what you're asking for with our current implementation but without enrage restrictions. The change we're making is just to stop darts increasing enrage and killstreak.
