Any players who were mistakenly awarded the Dawn Hunter Shirt during last weekend's Twitch Drops should find that the next time they log in to Sea of Thieves, the correct Twilight Hunter Shirt is available from their Clothing Chest.

We are making strong progress towards resolving the login issues, and players are now starting to return to Sea of Thieves without issue. Should you encounter other beard errors while the backlog begins to clear, please keep trying. Thank you all for your patience.

As part of this fix, in-game voice chat is affected for some players. We will endeavour to restore this functionality as soon as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Due to the login issues affecting many pirates during #SeaOfThievesCommunityDay, we're adding another 12 hours to the time you have to collect the free flag and emote, earn Twitch Drops and enjoy reward multipliers! These will now be available until 10pm GMT on Jan 31st.

Hi everyone,

As we announced during our Sea of Thieves 2022 Preview Event, we’ve made the difficult decision to close down The Arena mode within Sea of Thieves. We wanted to take some time to talk everyone through this and how we will be going about it, which you can read up on here. We understand that some people will feel frustrated, so we wanted to give you some more of the reasoning behind it and explain what it means going forward.

We know that not everyone is going to agree with this decision, but we truly believe it’s the best one for the overall future of Sea of Thieves. We are genuinely excited about the plans for Adventure mode, as well as some of the other amazing things we’re yet to reveal. We look forward to 2022 being another huge year for the game and we’re filled with excitement for the adventures we’re yet t... Read more

After overnight feedback we've lowered the ship count per server from six to five, while maintaining the cap of 16 players. This allows for a wider variety of ship sizes per server, and our matchmaking system will work to deliver this while we monitor impact on game performance.
