Hello, Extinction Elites!

It’s a little late for a start-of-the-year introduction, but with Supply Drop #2 under our belts and our eyes on Pre-season 3 coming up, I wanted to give you a little bit of an update on how we’re going.

As always, the State of the Game letter’s goal is to provide an open channel between you and us. Feel free to reach out at any time in the Discord[discord.gg], however.

What We Have Learned With Preseason 2, we introduced a whole bunch of new things.

First, we started little in-game hints in the weeks leading up to Preseason 2 about mysterious mutated eggs in the region. Absolutely agree. You lot are onto a really good concept here and the polish is exciting.

Apparently, my Rx 5600 XT doesnt meet the requirements it clearly exceeds to play the game

Sorry to hear that we didn't quite hit the mark with this new feature. We want to hear what graphics cards are displaying incorrectly and begin fixing the issue.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with this. The development team is investigating this issue. They made some improvements to this issue in the last game update.

If you could share your crash dump files with support, then please follow step 11 from here (https://support.secondextinctiongame.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360016921920-Game-is-crashing-or-won-t-load)

Happy Friday, Extinction Elites!

A Hotfix has been pushed out and should now solve most, if not all, of the new crashes that appeared after Supply Drop #2 landed. We have also removed the Christmas themed background sounds, with it being February next week and all.

Patch Notes
  • Fixed an issue where players crashed in the loading screen after the insertion map due to outdated graphic drivers.
  • Removed the Christmas themed background SFX.

We hope the Hotfix lands well, and let us know if you run into any issues by reporting them here[support.secondextinctiongame.com].
