I wonder how that would happen by accident, seems super specific
It's because the game has a concept of individual items, as well as "Categories", and there are also universally liked items and categories, and there is an order it checks those groups in to determine if an NPC likes a gift or not. That order accidentally got changed in 1.4
I fixed it and it wasnt caus eof mods btw it was your game itself screwing up your files in the update but iv sorta it out now dw
so it wasnt my fault thank god it was just the games horray
my bf ended up helping me with a simple fix so thanks anyway

I read the fixes but one thing I couldn't find... I lost one of my favourite rarecrows (the mouse one) due to being destroyed by wilderness, after leaving my farm land unattended for too long.
Was that ever fixed? (At least for extremely rare items?) because as far as I know, that rarecrow is irreplaceable.
In the bug fix patch that is coming soon, you'll be able to buy the two rarecrows that are currently irreplaceable, after you've unlocked them.
The gold reset in multi-player by the separate money
Currently that will happen if the host is playing on mac or linux. It will be fixed in a patch this is coming very soon.
Bug: I went to talk to Clint to check on my axe upgrade. I had my forest sword highlighted when I clicked on him and in his dialogue he said that he was still working on my forest sword. Then when my axe should of been ready the notification popped up saying that my forest sword was ready. When I went to pick it up he gave me a forest sword instead of my axe! So now I don’t have an axe, I checked all my chests and it’s no where.
PC, 1.4, English, single-player
Update: Lewis dropped it off the next day, but my upgrades are gone.

this is actually a bug that will be fixed soon. The gift tastes weren't supposed to change like that.

Like... when you disconnected and rejoined, had the host played any days without you? How many people are playing on the farm? Did you start the game with separate money or did you change partway through by going to the mayor? Any more relevant info you can think of is helpful too. thank you & sorry for any inconvenience this bug has caused
Okay it's confirmed that this bug happens when the host is on a mac (or linux). There will be a fix for this in the patch that is coming soon. In the meantime there's no way around it except to host the game on a windows machine

I'm playing the four corners map with my friend on the new 1.4 update. She is hosting, and I'm joining the online farm. We are playing with separate gold, and each time I exit the game and we re-start our session, I revert to 500G. It doesn't matter if I am over or under that number, whenever I reboot the game to start another online session, my gold reverts to 500G. No mods.
So be careful, I guess.

I have got werid bug, I play on my old save file, that i was playing on 1.3, my wife is Abigail, and when she go to sleep she's just a black square
Do you have a mod that replaces the character sprite textures? If so, that's why.. if not, and you're playing on steam, please right click the game in the library > properties > local files > verify integrity of game files
My game keeps crashing when I put the lava eel into the fish pond . After having repeated the day twice to have it crash I thought I'd test my theory. Only put the lava eel into the pond , slept and crashed. I basically end my day, sleep and it crashes before saving. It's my 3rd pond with my other 2 with different types of fish being fine. Anyone else have this problem?

Read moreI use mods but i took off all the outfit mods since all of the outfit mods dont work anymore due to the update but since i deleted them the bug is still there.
I put in the old original stardew valley outfits and that reverted alll cosmetic mods i had to the original game files but it still looks bugged

Okay so I do think this is the result of modding. Putting the old stardew valley outfits from 1.3 back wouldn't work because the pants and shirts textures have gotten a lot bigger. You'll need the new 1.4 files. I'm not exactly sure how to deal with modding stuff but I'd guess maybe uninstalling your mods, then verifying the integrity of your game files as I described above, and the re-installing any mods that are 1.4-compatible should work.
BUG REPORT
Playing 4 corners farm in multiplayer, non host player losing gold earned. One day i quit with over 3000g to rejoin with 7g. Today, rejoined to 500g after leaving with 2630g. Edit: playing on steam pc. Language is in English.

Hi!!! I found the files, the saves were blank but the _old saves were intact and I got it working now! Sorry I'm not experienced at all with moving files before today and that I asked for help when I managed to fix it on my own 😝

Are you using any mods? If you have a mod that replaces the shirt texture that would cause problems if the mod hasn't been updated for 1.4. If you aren't using any mods, please try verifying the integrity of your game files. (right click Stardew Valley in the steam library > properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files...)
