How do you turn HDR off? The option is greyed out in video settings (slider is stuck on green)
Go into your Windows settings/Nvidia control panel to do it there first.

This is AWESOME. Mind if I share on Twitter?
We have become aware of and are actively working to address a bug that may prevent you from completing the Fleet Battles Tutorial if your starfighter is destroyed at certain points during the exercise.
In the meantime, you can still complete the tutorial (and earn the cosmetic items) as long as your starfighter is not destroyed during the tutorial.
So, JackFrags actually had this issue while playing and found that HDR was turned on in-game and in his system settings (despite not having an HDR monitor). I'd check that. I'm not sure if that was because he was on the latest drivers and hardware (RTX 3080), but it might be worth looking into.
If that doesn't work, please reach out to our customer support at help.ea.com.

Such incredible work!
Hold my calls, I'm going over to this person's house.
She is an actor and was hired by EA a while ago for some motion capture work. They didn’t disclose to her what it was for at the time as the project was a secret but there she is!
She's one hell of a pilot!
Alright...that's pretty damn cool.
Stay on target...
This is the first module of the Squadrons Toolkit made by the Aces 5 organization's own J4V3N, ncallaway, and Hopfot. We have plenty of features in the pipe such as Discord Authentication and Profile Creation, Guide Building Support, Loadout Comparing, Squad Role Tagging, and Loadout Lookup Support which we plan on implementing according to our roadmap, of which will be made public soon after Squadrons releases. Try it out and let us know what you think! http://www.squadrons.tools/builder
This is fantastic, really love the style of it!
Massive pat on the back to all involved.
Just to confirm, we have not backtracked on this with Star Wars: Squadrons. The Xbox store lists pre-order bonuses this way. Sorry for any confusion.
for origin as well?? i purchased the game on origin, unknowingly unaware that the vr compatibility might only be with steam, i could have gone that route, but i hoped for a confirmation by now..
For most headsets, just install Steam VR on your PC and you'll be set! Oculus may not need it, though.
I meant "solo", as in "BF2 Instant Action" kind of solo. I suppose the "fleet battles" you talk about are customizable to some extent?
The most important thing to me is being able to play everything this game offers solo and , in some cases , entirely offline (crappy internet connection is a huge problem). I'm okay with rewards being only available online.
Then other than multiplayer itself and dogfights, you're good!
Just to properly set expectations, when you say “offline,” do you mean solo or entirely offline? A number of features require online play of some kind. So yes, you can play (entirely offline) against bots but you won’t earn rewards, so you’ll want to play with or against players to earn rewards, even just in co-op against AI.
Entirely offline, you can play the story, practise range, and vs AI Fleet Battles (though you'll only earn XP as a way to combat cheating).
This all sounds amazing, super hyped
My only current question is what happens post lvl 40 on the linear player level? Is it just bragging rights, or are there other rewards?
You'll still get Glory from levelling so you can keep unlocking cosmetics.
I really need a 3D printer.
So obviously there will be huge advantages to having great teamwork. If using unweighted rank averages, do you have another way to address pre-made advantage?
Is there an active MM system that pairs, say, 3 + 2 premades vs. other 3+2 or 4+1?
Yup! The matchmaking will prioritise you facing similarly structured teams first.
u/EA_Charlemagne what factors play into how much skill rating you gain or lose is a match? Is it just win or lose or does your personal stats and ELO play into account?
It's a healthy mix of all of that to my understanding, but I won't pretend to be an expert on how backend stuff like that works. It's also a separate rating between Dogfights and Fleet Battles.
Can you queue with people with crossplay? or is it purely just random people who may be on your team or on the other may be from another console? Just wondering if I can queue with my friends who play on PlayStation while I'm on Xbox.
There's a whole party and friendslist system as part of crossplay for SWS. You can totally queue up with friends on different platforms!
