For those you encounter the issue with the PTS patch, we invite you to follow those troubleshooting steps:
  1. Close the launcher
  2. Go to the install folder (i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic)
  3. Delete retailclient_publictext.version
  4. Launch the launcher. It will download the missing PTS files.
Let us know if you are still experiencing it.

PTS is up but there is a potential issue with the patch (which is why you are seeing the error message). We are seeing if we can resolve before the weekend. I will let you know where it lands.

Hey everyone!

I have two quick updates for you regarding Augments on PTS. The vendor selling these Augments (just for PTS purposes) can now properly be found on the Fleet. Look for the Spoil of War vendors Takanna and Nitoo. Secondly, we have adjusted the crafting material requirements for the new CM-1337 Augments. The new cost per Augment is:

- 14 RPM-13 (down from 25).
- 7 OEM-37 (down from 15).
- 5 Legendary Embers (this material remains unchanged).

While the material requirements have changed, we are planning to keep the drop chances the same as outlined in the initial post by Chris Schmidt. Let us know your thoughts!

I wanted to take a moment and give another update regarding 6.1.4 and Conquest.

As Chris mentioned yesterday during our Live Stream, live-service game systems changes are based on data we see regarding how everyone is interacting with the system, our own hypothesis, and a dialogue with all of you! We believe the dialogue portion is a critical part of this process, and is one of the driving reasons we took our 6.1.4 Conquest updates to PTS. We want to thank you for all of your input, and encourage you to continue having a conversation with us!

We have continued to iterate on what the 6.1.4 Conquest system looks like based on the above process, and I would like to share with you some updates we are making which you can expect to see coming in an upcoming PTS patch:
  • The planetary restrictions for Defeat Enemy Objectives and Heroic Missions Objectives have been removed.

First and foremost thank you all for the feedback!

Here are some of the major points of feedback I am seeing:
  • Feedback regarding locking Planetary Heroic Objectives to their planet being an available planet to invade. You would like to see these available at all times.
  • Feedback regarding locking Planetary Defeat Enemies to their planet being an available planet to invade. You would like to see these available at all times.
  • Feedback regarding solo based Objectives being overly reduced.

Our goal with locking Heroic and Defeat Enemy objectives to their planets was two fold; we wanted to create some variability to Conquests from week to week, while also working to streamline the increasing number of Objectives a 71+ player has.

Today we put up a new PTS phase. In this players can experience the Feast of Prosperity event, Conquest changes, and more.

Feast of Prosperity

The Feast of Prosperity event features new Daily Missions, Weekly Missions, and mini-game activities that you'll be able to participate in on PTS. You'll also have access to an introductory Mission, where you�ll meet Gaboorga the Abundant and Duuba the Magnanimous, the founders of the Feast, and learn a little more about them and their ambitions. When the event reaches the live servers, a new Story Mission will unlock every week, but on PTS, you'll just get a peek at the introductory story mission. The rewards are not currently set up for the event, so don't be alarmed if you don't see any. We encourage you to check out the dailies, weeklies, and mini-games and provide your feedback in the thread below.

Welcome to 6.1.4 Conquests on PTS! As I mentioned in my original thread, there are a handful of changes you can expect to see with Conquests and 6.1.4. I would like to take a minute and provide some additional insight into our balancing approach as well as what�s coming up!

Point Balance
While looking over our 6.1.2 Conquest values we realized there was opportunity to improve the experience. Simply put, there was too large a discrepancy in value for Objectives which were complicated or required larger time commitments when comparatively speaking to objectives which could be done with relative ease in a short amount of time. This was emphasizing and placing too much value on easier objectives, while simultaneously deemphasizing and devaluing more challenging content.

- How do the augments perform?
- How does the inflow of materials from PvE and PvP feel?

  • What is your feedback on backfilling in Solo Ranked now prioritizing the same role as the one that left along with increasing the penalties for leaving?
  • What is your feedback on the removal of vote kick from Ranked PvP?
  • What is your feedback on Ranked PvP now requiring iLvl 306 in order to queue?
  • What is your feedback on the addition of Legacy ignore?
