Since TU 16 and especially update 16.1 I am experiencing small in-game stutters or micro-stutters from time to time, noticable especially when moving the character around while running. I am playing on PC. Is there anyone else experiencing this issue? Also, I recently updated my GeForce video driver to the newest 517.48 one.

In the following videos I recorded the issue. It seems to happen at roughly the same locations. It can be seen at the end of each video. Especially at the end of video No. 2, 3 and 5 you can see the issue.

Hey there everyone, we are investigating a few possible causes for the stuttering at the moment.

There is something simple that I can recommend that may help alleviate the stuttering issues if you have not already tried it -- Disabling the Ubisoft Connect overlay. This will unfortunately make it impossible to access the in-game store but you can temporarily re-enable it if you need to!

If all of you could try that out and let me know if it helps out with your suttering at all, please let me know!

I would also like to collect basic system files from everyone having this issue. If you are able to get those generated, please open a support ticket to submit them! Just let me know you have the ticket open and I will be able to collect them from that system.

Hello N3mB0t thanks for letting us know you noticed a few other players/content creators were experiencing stutters too.

Imagine_Brata thanks for sharing these tips for Nvidia GPU users and the Windows power plan/usage settings, Windows power and priority is something I also recommend checking for performance-related issues.

If anyone else checking this thread experiences these micro stutters, we would like you to send us a video if possible, which also shows you the current graphic/display options that you use in-game as well as the stuttering.

This issue could occur for many reasons, hence why some people could be affected and others not.

Thanks for letting us know @S3lll.

The team have since got back and would like to confirm some things;

  • Could you please try reinstalling the game to see if there's any change?
  • Could you please confirm if you have the game installed on a HDD or SSD?


If you are running on an SSD, please could you confirm;

  • It has at least 90GB free space
  • The drive health is in good shape (this can be checked by running 'chkdsk' in the command prompt)
