There are a few options for knocking out the daily missions!

Randoms and Ranked both provide quite a bit of Base XP since they're PvP modes with higher rewards.

Co-Op is also available, but does have lower rewards in general. However, you can play matches much faster (usually around 5 minutes a battle) so the Base XP can rack up over time. The average Random Battle might give you 1,000+ XP, but it can take two or three times as long as a Co-Op battle might last.

As for learning about how Base XP is earned and how to get the most out of your games, definitely check out this video:

Again, I have to say. The changes to bot accuracy were not intended. It was not intended for bots to shoot at a spot BESIDE your ship, instead of AT your ship.

These changes were not Co-Op player initiated. They have been determined to be an issue needing to be fixed, and Boggzy escalated the issue to where it will be addressed.

To recap: The aim change was NOT done at player request.

Your language is fine, but please understand that repeatedly going in to derail threads where people just want to discuss a game mode they enjoy can be off-putting.

This is a thread about changes to make Co-Op more fun for the OP. It isn't a thread rehashing old debates to stir up and frustrate a community which is tired of rehashing the old discussion.

The change in accuracy was likely a by-product of AI tools being altered on the backend. It had nothing to do with Co-Op players advocating for some change or lessening of difficulty.

This was determined to be something that shouldn't have happened and is why it's going to be altered in the future.

You have stated your disclaimer before. Please understand that the folks that are telling you to stop saying it are doing so because they've read it many times before.

Change happens. Some will like it when it comes, and others will not. Ultimately, our designers try to do the best they can to make the game as good as it can be.

This is the normal course of giving Feedback. Players will play the game and then express their thoughts. We listen and see if there are things we can do to make the game stronger.

Sometimes we can, like with the Bot Accuracy changes that will be coming. Sometimes we can't, because there are other goals/priorities that are taking precedent at the time.

There is a change coming to Co-Op. Boggzy reported on the poor accuracy of the Co-Op bots that was being discussed by folks here and the Devs agreed it was something they'd get to. I recall him saying it could occur as early as 0.10.11, but it's hard to get a quick/definitive time table with only a month's worth of turn-around time.

So, Co-Op isn't "Done".

While Randoms is the primary game mode of World of Warships, the whole game is here to be enjoyed by everyone. When there is good feedback about how a game can be improved, it'll always be listened to. Unfortunately, there's only so many Dev hours in the day, so not everything gets to be implemented.

I realize you're trying to be helpful, but it's only being perceived as being taunting and contrarian. You've said your piece, and the folks in the thread are well aware of your thoughts on the matter. You can stop now.

Totally understand. I know a lot of folks that enjoy having strict Tier 6/8/10 only Matchmaking to play in, which is a real draw for them.

This season may be all Tier 10 due to SuperShips, but we know folks want to see a diversity of content and tiers whenever able.

The easiest answer is "Because balancing the CV Rework in Random Battles was a rough experience that we don't want to repeat."

---

When Reworked CVs entered the game, they went directly into Random Battles, which was a rather jarring upheavel for players. For one, there was still a lot of balancing/iteration to be done on the class, and two, because it was a sudden change from one day to the next for those that don't use the PTS or keep current with the news.

After learning from that, Submarines have been tested in a very long-form fashion. Multiple behind the scenes tests, then PTS testing, then a Submarine Battle mode on Live Server, then more behind the scenes testing, then more PTS testing. What's been found is that the PTS simply isn't treated as a real game server, so matches don't play out very well for playtesting/understanding purposes. Similarly, the Submarine Battle on live server was treated as a side-mode and gave some...

Definitely do what makes you happy. I took a break from ranked since like April because it was a large grind/investment of time.

---

Question though, what do you mean by "... [WG] just made it a crap shoot grind fest that is just designed to get you to shell out cash in the hopes of getting to an arbitrary Rank ..." ?

What money are you spending because of Ranked?

Please also calm it down. The exchange has been spicy enough already and heads have cooled down some since.

Offering your opinion is fine. You did and you can see how downvoted it was. There were two others above you which gave a similar opinion.

The difference is that it escalated into being directly disrespectful. Other folks got baited in and said snippy things to you, and you're now saying them back.

It's not about not having unpopular opinions, but please be respectful of the people that disagree with you and don't start diving into aspersions on how good players are/are not due to their preference and playstyle. It's disrespectful, and it needs to stop here.

Sorry that your first post on this forum escalated into a rough experience, but to have a forum where people can exchange ideas freely you must have a foundation of respect.

As your post is the 8th on this thread and is in response to noone, your words were the first aggression.

I'm going to ask you to step off this thread and remember that this game belongs to everyone. Co-Op, Operation, Random players all.

This TRUTH needs to matter to you.

You have been disrespectful multiple times in this thread alone.

Please chill out and realize that other players play differently than you do and that's completely fine.

This is why I recommend "Jousting" with Rocket Planes. You use your AA briefly by triggering Priority Sector for the Instant Damage, and let the AA guns shoot for half a second or so, then cut AA back off. The rocket planes fly far enough away that they lose sight before they can turn around and come back in.

Remember that there is a "Rendering Delay", meaning that once and enemy ship is spotted it still takes a short amount of time before the server says, "Yes, you can render the ship now". If that ship stops using AA immediately, then they're lit only briefly.

So there's a silly saying I use, which is "Priority Sector is O. P." Basically, you can use Priority Sector for a quick pop-shot where you are lit super briefly because of rendering delay eating up most of the 2 second Aerial Detection bloom. You activate it with "O", and then immediately hit "P" to turn your AA back off.

Check out what it looks like, below:

The graphics/engine is constantly being updated. In fact, 0.10.10 had a huge overhaul on the Water as well as some very beautifully updated maps. There's a fan made trailer that kicked off the "Inspired by Battles" video that was just released. Let me see if I can dig it up~

Ah, here it is:

When you use a code, and it says that it's been Activated, the camos or credits or whatever it is that the code redeems for you is immediately put into the game for you.

While I don't remember if it's ALWAYS the case, you can often find out what you got by checking the "Notifications" tab the next time you log in after activating a code.

I spent some time trying to come up with something.

So, the one edge case I can think of is a DD which is NOT Surface Detected and has the AA on. Some ASW planes fly over and trigger the AA. While the AA is on, the DD's Aerial Detection increases to the Maximum AA Range.

If a submarine is at Periscope Depth nearby, a Submarine can spot surface ships using their "Aerial Detection" radius. The "Aerial Detection" blooming out could allow an unspotted Destroyer to then be seen briefly by the Periscope Depth Submarine.

AA Spotting works differently then "Gunfire Bloom".

If you shoot your guns, your Surface Detection increases out to your Maximum Firing Range. It stays that way for 20 seconds of not shooting, or until you are in a position where nobody can see you. After one or the other happens, your Surface Detection drops back to the normal size.

If you shoot your AA, your Aerial Detection increases out to your Maximum AA Range. It stay that way for 2 seconds (yes, only 2) after you stop shooting your AA guns, or until you are in a position where nobody can see you. After one of the other happens, your Aerial Detection drops back to the normal size.

You log into the website (or be logged into the forums here). In the top-right, you can click on your name, then go to "Activate Wargaming Code" to go to the window you enter the code into.

I made a picture as a visual reference for you!

That's not quite correct.

There are three AA Damage Types:

Instant:
On Priority Sector activation, ALL enemies squads in the area (range and side of ship activated) recieve % current health damage. 5% current health from DD activation, and 3.5% from CA/BB/CV.

Continuous:
This is the guaranteed damage that appears in small ticks over time. This effects ALL enemies squadrons at full value. It's delivered every 2/7ths of a second (unless hasted by Priority Sector).

Flak:
Flak clouds are spawned at a rate of 1 location/2 seconds per "Shell Explosion" listed in port. This number is hard capped, so a ship with 8 Shell Explosions only makes 8 flak bubbles per 2 seconds. If there are 2 enemy squadrons in range, the flak is divided among them both to cause 4 flak bubbles to be assigned to each squadron. If planes touch a flak bubble, they get damaged normally (because they hit flak).

I haven't tested this, but I have to wonder if ASW planes could also be coordinated to divert flak for a friendly CV/Hybrid that is looking to strike.

I believe the flak is split between all the aerial targets in range, so a 10 flak situation could be turned into 2 flak/squad if 4 Battleships coordinated their ASW with the CV/Hybrid strike timing.
