On Live Server, Continuous Damage is focused on the LAST plane in a squadron (ie: the plane furthest to the right on the healthbar). This change was implemented in Update 0.8.5 to avoid Continuous Damage being spread across all the available planes and thus not shooting down any planes. Plane losses became much more consistent by focusing fire on the last plane.

The Closed Test keeps the "focuses one plane" functionality, but allows it to be any of the planes in the squadron. The plane could be in the middle of the health bar, or even at the front of the health bar (the "attacking" planes which are all the way on the left).

I do believe planes shot down in the "middle" of the healthbar continue to leave that gap there. Basically, each attacking flight retains its squadron integrity so later flights for followup attacks may have some holes in them. The option to send back a squadron that has taken losses would be taken care of by holding F to send...

Please remember that this is in Closed Test. As a Concept Test, this may or may not move forward depending on the results of the test.

The section you're asking about is here:

The new mechanic can choose any plane within the squadron (as opposed to the current mechanic of always picking the last plane).


The plane that is picked will be focused until shot down or the specific target chosen may change if the planes leave all AA for some time.

The target can be within the Attacking Group (ie: the first planes in the squadron which will shoot).

Because any plane can be selected, the planes shot down in the attacking group are not "replenished".

IE: If a Hakuryu is attacking with a squadron of 12 Torpedo Planes and the first plane shot down is in the Attacking Squadro...

Prague might have had the day off? I thought that was Friday, but maybe it's a long weekend?

I'm not up to date on most holidays since I grew up in Customer Service. When you work all the holidays anyway you kinda forget they exist.

The EU office tends to stream on Thursdays, not NA. Our stream schedule is for 5pm CST on Wednesday barring holidays or specific events.

It does look like the LATAM stream took place at 3 CST.

People commonly talk in terms of how many ships are on a single team, not in terms of how many ships exist in the match.

A "6 Cruiser match" would be in reference to having 6 Cruisers on each side. Saying there was a "12 Cruiser match" would be considered odd as that sounds like either Tier 1 or an all Cruiser match (meaning 24 total).

The term you probably want to use is a "double CV" match. That implies 2 CVs on each team.

The enemy sub may be on the surface. The Sub Surveillance consumable still detects enemy Submarines under the water even while used on the surface.

The consumable shows submarines at Periscope and Maximum depth so you might not be seeing the enemy because of that.

League is a very skill-shot based game with numbers balancing in the .2 to 1 second "windows". The balancing metrics they have to use are of a rather different sense than ours.

Also, in the beginning of the video the description is that player variance is not a matter for 10% or 30% better from bottom to top, it is in the hundreds if not thousands of % increases. This concept is important to remember in terms of forum arguments that involve player amounts which number in the 10's out of a player population of hundreds of thousands or more.
