We have no involvement with PoB. It's a third party app.

You can see the 2D art for the regular version in the announcement here.

Thank you so much for all of your contributions to the community! We really appreciate it.

It's not possible to make Private Leagues for the Flashback Event.

I was working hard behind the scenes to get some answers for the community. This resulted in the Chris' update post and the Q&A (part two coming tomorrow!) .

So, what will be the date of 3.7 league start? Flashback will end the 4th of june. So it's the 07th of june for most of us? May the 21st is a bit late for planning vacation... couldn't we get a date a bit earlier, pretty please Bex?

June 7th is likely to be the release date but it's not locked in until we start the countdown. I wouldn't recommend booking time off until the announcement is out unless you're okay with the chance of the date changing.

Health stuff is always scary. Having a good distraction can make all the difference to state of mind. Last time I was in hospital was when face swap apps were all the rage. The amount of laughs to be had kept me going. I'm glad we could keep you company. Wish you all the best. Will be thinking of you!

Combat rework in 3.7, or the one planned for 4.0? Thanks Bex.

I'm referring to the stuff we outlined here.

Well

its pretty simple, in fact:

  • an expansion adds content to the whole game

  • while a league add content to a realm/season/ladder/whatever you want to call a temporary subdivision of the game

So yes they seem to use it wrong, on purpose to get more coverage, which im fine with when marketing but in situations like here on reddit while replying to somebody to give information, using the right term might avoid some confusion

Expansions come with leagues but also new items, skills, balance and typically other bits and pieces that affect the core game and remain beyond a league's end.

The more you progress in the game, the better it feels. However, we're also focusing on a combat rework in our upcoming expansion.

This is a topic that has come up several times and the team haven't yet had a fully satisfactory internal discussion about. Chris is very aware and will try to make time to talk to other senior developers this week.

There's lot of constructive discussion in this thread. Thank you for that! While the team stands by their decisions around trading, this thread highlights some difficulties with the game we might be able to address in other ways. I can't make any promises yet but it's my hope that we can go into more depth in some kind of news post about the current state of trade and how different game systems contribute to it. As Chris explained in his post earlier in the week, these discussions compete with development time on the next release, so we may not be able to work out a solid plan regarding these issues until the next cycle.

We've added more questions about Betrayal to the second part of the Q&A. In the meantime, I want you to know that we've seen a lot feedback about Betrayal, including other topics like how much damage Syndicate members are doing. There's been a lot of discussion so far. It's the weekend right now, so I don't have anything I can report just yet but I will make sure this and other Betrayal concerns are brought to the team's attention.

However, from what I remember the last time a voided race was attempted was while the old MTX system was still in place and a LOT of players did not want to play a voided race because they couldn't use their MTX. I feel like that plays a major part in how many people are interested in a voided race now that it's fixed, and that point was completely glossed over by Chris.

That trend of preferring non-voided events continued even once the new microtransaction system was added.

I don't even want to change trade for myself, but so my friends will play again. I've got quite a few live alerts open right now, I just want to work towards resolving what all my friends tell me is the only reason that stops them from playing and it sucks to just be told "No, no further reasoning, refer to our previous statements".

Thanks anyways, and I do mean thank you, despite my disappointment.

If you have specific questions about aspects of the Trade Manifesto please let me know.

I can accept a "No" answer, but I'd really appreciate some of the math behind the reasoning. I'd do unspeakable things to hear those hours of conversation you apparently had.

Honestly, our explanation would be exactly what was written in the trade manifesto.
