Alright, I appreciate your timely responses. It just seems worded as if to say the lower list is just a list of potential new features maybe coming next year.

But if all those bullet points are actual goals that the Community Games team is striving towards bringing to BFV this looks like a well thought out successor to RSP and you have my stamp of approval. I'm sure you know I've been looking forward to it for a long time.

For sure, RHG. And hopefully we can add some more bullet points to it before it's done. ;)

The section of features not coming on Monday are coming in a later update (or updates), as stated in the OP. This would allow you to create your version of hardcore.

What is the point of feedback if you never listen to what we have say?

We do listen. And we share that feedback with the Dev team. And they take the feedback and the analytical data and the vision they have for the game and make decisions based off of it.

Listening doesn’t always mean doing what you ask/demand. It means taking your feedback/requests and seeing how it can fit in the plans they have for the game. Sometimes those two things gel and sometimes they don’t. And sometimes the plan gets changed to more align with the requests.

And while there’s quite a few comments/conversations here on forums and Reddit, it’s not wholly representative of the entire community. So that must be taken into consideration as well.

Fortress and Grind aren’t independent modes. They’re alterations of Conquest. I’ve asked the team when/if we could expect to get them added in the modes available for Community Games. The details I received (that helped craft the Community Broadcast) are that “these modes won’t be available for the initial offering of Community Games”.

There's no "vote kick/vote ban" feature in either list at this time. The Admin/Community Games creator will decide

It is coming. I don't have a date yet - and we'll have more details on the ongoing development of Community Games after the New Year.

Man, I'm dumb. I guess it was just my mind trying to find something good that came out of this update. But the real question is, why make a giant list of things not coming?

The list of additional features was included in the Community Broadcast today because it was in the original Community Broadcast. Adam and I were focused about being trasparent about the features not coming yet so as to improve transparency on the continued work going on with Community Games.

Some other RSP questions i have

  • Can you play TDM 64 if you wanted

  • Can you play CQ 32 if you wanted

  • Is Final stand available (i only played that mode once)

  • Can we setup Firestorm?

  • Why can't we earn TOWXP/Items on RSP? we can do the assignments on COOP lmao.

  • When's the rest?

  • When you create your Community Game, you'll select the server size. The modes available for that server size will be selectable to apply to that Community Game.
  • See answer above.
  • No, Firestorm, Airborne, Grind, Fortress, and Combined Arms are not part of the mode/experience options.
  • I'm trying to get an answer to that to share with the community. (Also pushing for a compromise on earning Chapter XP/ToW Progression in vanilla Community Games/basic rulesets.)
  • Next year. We'll have more details on the Community Games Roadmap after the holidays. (Don't have a locked date for the next Community Broadcast yet.)

This whole thing feels like a feature built solely to say "we gave you the private servers you wanted", regardless of how far from reality they are.

Dice.....masters of crying about limited dev time, than wasting said time on features no one asked for, or completely gimped ones.

The 20 matches thing means after 20 matches, it rotates back to the beginning of your rotation.
So if you create a playlist that has a 20 map rotation, when you get to the last map, the server doesn't disappear, it just starts back over at the beginning of your playlist.

So if you have a server rented and the only thing you do is have a custom rotations (eg infantry focused, tank focused, etc) with no other changes or restrictions made, no progression?

No, that's not correct.

If you create a Community Game, you can create your rotation (maps/modes) and as long as it's not password-protected, you'll be able to complete assignments, earn soldier rank (up to rank 500), weapon rank, vehicle rank. At this time, Tides of War progression (completing nodes and earning ToW XP) and Chapter progression will not be available for Community Games.

I quite like the change. It’s not perfect and I would like to see some rebalancing of certain guns but I actually liked it.

I hate how much of an echo chamber this sub is. I make a post giving my input on the update and it gets downvoted to oblivion. It means you guys never see it.

You guys should have just a one question survey pop up on the menu after a player puts in like an hour of playtime. Have it just say: “do you like the new TTK? And have it be yes, no, and maybe.

Then let us see those numbers! I’m sure I’m not the only one who likes the change.

You’re not alone. Not by a long shot. (Other folks are just not as vocal.)

Don’t take this post as an insult, all I’m saying is that it’s a poor way to represent the community by grouping everyone into the same group. I get that it’s impossible to please everyone, although we feel like our feedback on the TTK update isn’t being listened to.

Although I’d like to apologise about how I worded my title, it was in the heat of the moment. I don’t think you’re bad at your job, I just didn’t agree with the tweet.

I agree 100%. Generalizations are weak and, to be frank, a bit lazy. Clumping everyone together isn’t accurate - everyone has their own opinions and situations - even if many agree on one thing, it’s not everyone (as that tweet reads). That is one of the reasons I unliked it.

I appreciate the response, how is dice taking the criticism we give from the community. I want to know that it’s not just being ignored.

It’s not being ignored. There’s meetings on Monday regarding the recent changes and steps going forward. I don’t have any further details at this time - but the feedback received has been noticed and acknowledged by the studio. We’ll have more info next week, hopefully.

as silly as that sounds, this is our reality in 2019

This really adds to the authenticity of the apology.

Allow me to clarify. I wasn’t saying that it’s silly to apologize for the offense. And I truly am sincere in my apology.

We’re in an incredibly connected time because of social media and people look for “gotcha” opportunities. A misspoken tweet, an ill-advised like or RT is now considered gospel and used as evidence of the entire thought process of someone - rather than having a conversation about said tweet. That, to me, is silly. But it is where we are. And I do apologize.

And I’m owning the fact that it was I’ll-advised to like that tweet - I should’ve looked at it as a whole rather than the message it was trying to convey. Had I done that thoroughly, I wouldn’t have liked the tweet.

I did like the tweet when I first saw it in my feed (which I’m sure you can imagine is quite full). Not a huge fan of the tone and words used, but I saw the bigger message. (And then I unliked it because of that last part.)

The part that struck me is about the fact that it’s impossible to make everyone happy about changes -

There’s always going to be someone (or many folks) that completely agree with your direction, and just as many that don’t. And that’s the crux of the issue - make everyone a little unhappy with a middle-ground compromise or piss off a section of the community but make another section happy? (And please note, one section of the community doesn’t “speak for the community”. Half the folks that play games don’t even use Reddit, Twitter, or Forums.)

This isn’t in anyway an attempt to diminish the importance of the feedback from one section or another - at all. The Devs have to balance the feedback with actual hard data that shows more than gu...

Yes, the only things that don’t track are Chapter XP and ToW progression.

Vehicles are the most complex aspect of battlefield and understanding how damage works and being able to provide the community with vehicle stats is much needed. There’s no practical way to do this right now with Practice Range only having a few vehicles and vehicle weapons.

Since vehicles can’t be spawned into until preround is broken the current minimum setting of 4 prevents people from doing solo testing or even testing with a buddy.

Totally understand and agree. I have a lot of thoughts on what should/shouldn’t be allowed on Password Protected servers based on feedback from Competitive gamers and content creators over the past few months. And we’re sharing this feedback with the team.
