What may have started with the best of intentions has strayed into an area that we feel it necessary to close this thread.
I appreciate that closing a thread on “free speech” is somewhat ironic but we won’t permit rules violations that are committed under the guise of “role play”. This thread certainly skirts the line, possibly crosses it, when related to harassment.
We’d advise players to take this into account when considering their in-game behavior.

More info - TQ failed to automatically shut down and restart due to some of the server nodes being stuck. We manually shut down the nodes which failed to shut down automatically. When we started up TQ we saw some nodes ...

As mentioned above, it is no longer supported to run EVE Online on OS 10.14 or below. OS version 10.15 or later is needed to access EVE Online.
As per this news item players who are still using the old launcher will be prompted to update to the new launcher on Wednesday. It will be necessary to update to the new launcher in order to start EVE Online.
All your user accounts and settings will be migrated into the new version automatically, and any unnecessary files related to the old launcher will be removed from your system.

Read moreWe’ve become aware of an issue where the EVE client will crash or freeze if the sound is enabled and the character is located or jumping into an insurgency affected system. Typically, this issue presents as audio becoming intermittent after entering a corrupted or suppressed system.
This is not impacting all players.
The developers are looking into the issue but in the meantime if you encounter client crashes or freezes after jumping into an insurgency affected system or straight after selecting a character then please access the settings menu via the ESC key and uncheck the Audio Enabled option in the Audio tab.
From 8 February 2024 we will be dropping support for OS 10.14 and below. From that date Mac users will need to run 10.15 or later to access EVE Online.
Discontinuing support for older OS such as 10.14 and Windows 7 and 8 means that we have more freedom to integrate the latest technology and solutions as we continue to develop EVE and its supporting foundations.

As users of the EVE Portal app have noticed and pointed out in recent months the reliability of the app has been steadily declining. When problems arose, we deployed fixes which proved to be only temporary as new issues manifested. After a thorough technical review, we have concluded that the EVE Portal app does not have a robust enough foundation for its ongoing maintenance or further development.
After careful consideration, we have decided that the prudent course of action is to deprecate the app, effective immediately. Support for EVE Portal has now officially ceased, we have started the process of shutting down the technical infrastructure and the app is being removed from the app stores.
