Sure, in the 15th month of the year, day 11.

If you're interested, I wrote a primer to understanding the basic resources and strategic incentives of strategy cardgames a while back. I used Magic the Gathering as an example, but the core resources are very similar to Legends of Runeterra.

People know game designers play other games too right? I’m glad people like coming to our restaurant but I don’t expect folks to eat in one place for every meal, breakfast lunch and dinner. You can grab lunch or take vacation, we’ll still be here.

If you want to see more folks streaming LoR great! Start a stream. I’ll try and drop by. :)

I made it this far. :)

Thanks for writing up such a great and detailed post. I’ll be mulling it over.

I don't have an image, but basically we folded blank sheets of paper and used the folds to create the shape of a card, we got 8 cards out of every sheet and made like 4 decks in total. When it was time for me to leave, my cell mate kept the cards and I hope the next cell mate he got plays the game with him, it passes the time incredibly well when you're in a cell the size of a bathroom 24 hours a day xD

That’s fantastic. Thanks for playing our game! Hope you crush it in the tournament, and we keep making a game worth your effort. :)

Seems like such an awesome company to not only play it's games, but to work for as well!

The office has a genuine Willy wonka vibe too. New hires don’t believe us at first when we tell them about the secret rooms, bilgewater brew, on campus arcades, or the smoothie lagoon. :)

If I already got your attention, a quick question: after reading the recent devblog, I have some ideas for feedback. What's the best way to make my feedback reach you guys? A post on this sub, a dm, a support ticket, etc. .

Thanks (:

Post on this sub if you’re already familiar with it is a good way. Feel free to message me if you’d rather it be private. App reviews are paid attention to as well if it’s for the game overall. Lots of other options but those are probably easiest for a Redditor

Hmmm...biased you say? Whatever could be the reason for that? I believe your opinion is as factual and unbiased as it gets 🤔

I actually just wrote a document for a new hire as guidance and was very pleased to get to write that Riot absolutely takes “player experience first” seriously and that we should always be asking in meetings if this decision - whatever it is - will be making the game a better player experience overall. It’s awesome to be part of that.

I'm obviously wildly biased, but one reason I joined the team was that LoR is one of the easiest games to get access to a fun collection of cards quickly I like working on games that are super player-focused. :)

But for serious, in regards to Vlad, I've always felt like his "signature ability" is Sanguine Pool more than anything else, and I'd like to see the advent of certain new champ spells being completely unique to their dupes (e.g.: Evelynn, Kayne) see Sanguine Pool represented.

I love unique champ spells, when I first played the game I assumed all champ spells would be only usable by having a second copy of the champion and thought that was such a cool idea. Making new unique champ spells for some old champs could be an interesting way to buff or alter them

Since when do you need a book to gush about new cards? ;) (/s, I have 0 clue what card gush is).

Mhmmm, for feedback: it is my passion project to play Ekko, since I was a pretty big Ekko nut on League on his release, so much that I still havent caught up with my other champs in mastery. However, I feel like playing him is fighting an uphill battle at every step. His decks are feeling always fairly unrefined, like he has no concrete game plan beyond "predict". For me, this feels like that because he has no finisher. Even a while back, the version with Voices, I felt like the game plan was for the opponent to not have a board, rather than me being able to further my gameplan. Almost all other "wincons" feel the same, Kahiri feels too slow when you play him (youre defenseless), and overwhelm does feel like youre playin Sivir or Renekton decks, but in worse.

It also feels like Ekko himself has a pretty weak identity,...

Thanks! This is great and useful feedback, telling us exactly how it feels to play with your Champion’s deck, what you’re looking to do, and when it’s hard to pull off. I’ll do my best to keep the flight safe too. :)

I've been having a lot of fun playing Ashe+Senna with quietus/rimefang/spell dupe landmark

I’m headed to visit family in Portland Oregon. :)

That’s sounds like a fun deck. Cold, dark victory.

Otherwise all I have is a 400 page book on how to play the card Gush in mtg. I’m a captive audience. :)
