If you had to re-link your Steam account, it means the account was unlinked from another EA account. In case you already re-linked your Steam account and don't see the progress, you probably linked to a brand new EA account. As we're unable to check your account details here, you will need to contact EA Help Support to try recovering your old account.

I completely understand what you mean as I've been in this situation myself more than once for sure. Even though I usually play with a premade squad, having to explain to them where the best beacon is might take way longer than if we could simply put a ping for them on the map. Once it's installed, make sure the in-game overlay is enable so the pop up for the purchase will appear, for that, go to: Settings > Application > In-game Overlay > Enable in-game Overlay

That's part of the new level tiers, there are a total of 2000 levels, split into four tiers. After reaching level 500, your level will be reset back to level 1 as you have reached the next tier.
