Have you guys talked about expanding the storm shields in any way? For example a lot of people here have suggested an "endless" mode for storm shields similar to Frostnite with waves of enemies of increasing difficulty. u/chrisd848
There are a suite of improvements planned for Storm Shields that are currently in development. These are tentatively planned for some time in Season 9. This includes new combat challenges in the Storm Shield, resetting the Storm Shield after a failure, and being able to tear down your base in a quick and effective way.
Are there any plans to revamp the daily coin system. Not so much earning them but better uses for them. u/Cali4niaRose
In Season 8 Daily Coins are being removed entirely and replaced by Gold. Existing daily coins will be converted to Gold.
Should they be? Iirc we currently do not have any means of acquiring them through any form of Transformation. Only via Llamas / Research.
I would very much like to be able to Transform with a chance at getting them.
Thanks to this thread, this is currently under discussion internally.
Thanks a ton! Good to know I can do Transforms without worrying about missing out on Perk Ups.
Another question about Transforms:
Are we able to get Launchers from Ranged weapon Transforms?
I usually do several Transforms a day... easily 50+. And I have NEVER received a launcher of any type.
Ive been doing Epic Transforms due to having no need for Manuals / Research points hoping for an Epic Dam Buster...but not a one.
Just want confirmation if Launchers are or are not obtainable through the Permanent Rare/Epic Transformation Keys.
I just took a look at the data, and can confirm that Launchers are NOT currently obtainable through the permanent Rare/Epic ranged weapon Transform Keys.
These are fantastic changes! As a reminder, when recycling an item currently we get 90% of the Level-up XP back and none of the XP for Evolution. /u/Epic_Jason , when you say we will get back 100% of the XP spent, does this include Evo XP too? That would be great.
While you're changing these systems, could you please take a look at the few known items with errors in their evo/recycle data ? Namely,
- Rare Ceiling Drop Trap: recycling give a base of 2500 Schematic XP, while all other rare traps give 750 XP.
- Mythic Survivors Joel and Karolina have wrong evolution requirements. See this forum post.
- Founder's Nocturno (Legendary) Evo costs are the same as for Epic schematics.
It will return 100% of the XP spent on both level-up and evolution.
I can't speak to those specific items, but in general we fix evolution recipe errors as we find them. I'll pass the ones you listed along to QA for investigation.
Additionally, we’re improving the resources returned when you recycle/retire a Schematic, Hero, or other item type. They will be consistent with the amount given by the new reset function, which means you will receive 100% of the XP back, as well as the RE-Perk and Perk-UP for any upgraded perks on the schematic. Evolution materials and designs/manuals were already being fully returned, so that functionality will not change.
Will this work with Transformations too?
Transformations will now return full XP, evolution materials, and perk materials.
The only difference between Recycle and Transform is in the manuals/designs, since Recycle gives you 1/4/9 extra when you destroy a Rare/Epic/Legendary item.
In update 7.20 we are enabling a brand new “Item Reset” feature. Schematics, Heroes, or other items will be tagged “eligible for reset” if they are impacted by a significant balance or design change. When you view one of these eligible items in your Armory, you will have the option to reset the item, which returns it to level 1 and sets all attached schematic perks back to the rarity level they started at. In return, you will receive all of the XP, evolution materials, RE-Perk, and Perk-UP that were spent to perform those upgrade operations.
Each flagged item can only be reset one time, and if you choose to upgrade the item (level it up, change the perks, etc) you will lose the ability to reset it. Items that have had their rarity increased with Flux will remain at their new rarity, and the Flux will not be returned. On newly acquired items we will track the starting rarity of each Perk and return them to those levels on a reset, but for existing items we are assu...
Read more External link →I hope /u/Epic_Jason or /u/Magyst will follow up with what specific type of tickets we will use for the LTSLs, and if we will be able to buy more than one Llama.
I'm guessing they will be the winter event tickets, and they will auto 'cash in' the fortnitemares tickets.
Looking forward to the winter event in any case.
You are correct. The Troll Stash Llama will be purchased with Snowflake Tickets from the upcoming event. The Fortnitemares tickets will be exchanged for llamas with update 7.00.
Hi folks!
We wanted to give you some details about a change we’re planning to make to the availability of weapon schematics and heroes from old events, starting in update 7.00.
Save the World has been up and running for well over a year now, and with the constant march of events we’ve built up quite a backlog of weapon schematics and heroes. Some of these are very tightly themed to a certain annual event - such as the Fortnitemares heroes - and our plan for those is to continue to offer them each year when the event returns, so players who may have missed them can have a chance to acquire them. We also have a lot of items that were first offered during an event, but that aren’t tightly tied to a holiday or other recurring event theme. We’ve brought these back irregularly a few times - typically by offering them in the weekly store - but we’d like them to be available more consistently.
In update 7.00 we are going to take some of...

The zone mentioned by the OP is used during a quest, and hidden after the quest is complete. Mission Alerts should not be allowed to appear on it.
It should be fixed up in update 7.00
Why does every employee have beard
My lack of a beard was actually brought up during the job interview. :)
I dont mind going down a few level to get blue and green perk ups. I feel there is sufficient legendary perk up opportunities at the moment. What we are lacking is epic perk ups. They are so very rare to get.
This change should make Epic Perk-UP show up more often as a reward in Twine Peaks, particularly at the top end of the theater.
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to have a quick chat today about some improvements to the distribution of RE-Perk and Perk-UP that are coming in update 6.21.
The first change we’re making is to extend which difficulty levels can grant Uncommon, Rare, and Epic Perk-UP, all the way to the end of Twine Peaks. This change applies to both mission rewards, and Miniboss Mission Alert rewards. We saw feedback from high-level players around the lack of Uncommon and Rare Perk-UP at the top levels of the game, and agree that players shouldn’t have to play downlevel and do trivial content just to upgrade a brand new weapon that they’ve acquired. These materials will still be most common at the difficulties where they’re found today, but on average there should be enough on the map to prevent you from having to go back to previous locations.
While looking at the Perk material economy, we also decided the income rates could be increased a bit, so we...

Does Teddy count as an ability or bullets?
It's buffed by SMS on cast, so using it's an ability... but is him shooting counted as an ability?
All abilities (including TEDDY, Goin' Commando, and Lefty + Righty) are not considered ranged weapons, and should do normal damage to the husks during this challenge.

Hey everyone,
We want to give a sneak peek into what’s coming up for Challenge the Horde. From now until the end of Season 5 a series of Weekly Horde Challenges will run, providing a different gameplay experience each time. One of these Weekly Challenge missions will appear in the Horde area, set at a difficulty appropriate to your Storm Shield progression.
The challenges will have specific modifiers encouraging the use a variety of different play styles. Each challenge will reward you with something awesome - such as Heroes, Weapons or Seasonal Gold - the first time it’s completed, followed by a repeatable quest that grants event tickets.
The first Weekly Challenge will appear in update v5.2, and will put you up against increasing numbers of Minibosses in each wave. With the release of the v5.2 Content Update the following week, the first challenge will go away and a new one will appear. This second challenge features bulletpro...

Only Canny/Twine for now. If it works out well we may look into reworking Plankerton as well.
Hi folks!
In update v5.1 we’re adding the first chapter of a new three-part narrative quest line to Canny Valley. These are all-new quests that everyone who has finished Plankerton will have access to, regardless of how far into Canny or Twine they have progressed. What I’d like to talk about today is what this means for the structure of Canny Valley and Twine Peaks.
Unlocking these two areas will now be done through a combination of your Storm Shield Defense progression and your Home Base Power Rating. When you complete a Storm Shield Defense the next Defense quest becomes available immediately, so as soon as you feel you can win the fight, you can move on to the next Defense and open up more of the mission map. Disconnecting these unlocks from the storyline allows players to unlock difficulties appropriate to their power rating, so playing events and side-missions with your friends will no longer cause the game difficulty and your power level t...
Read more External link →Now do us a huge favor and fix the melee perks that are currently doing literally nothing. Damage resistance does nothing and some people are saying that movement speed also does nothing. It would be awesome if these perks actually worked with this buff coming to the 4.4 patch.
The Damage Resistance perk is not functioning at all, and will be fixed in update 4.4.
The Movement Speed perk does increase normal run speed, but is not increasing sprint speed. In update 4.4 it will be fixed so that it increases both.
Patch notes sneak peek! :)
Hey while you are taking look at melee weapons I wanted to bring notice that currently you can't get Damage to slowed and snared enemies at level 20 perk. This is really bad since 30% snare is probably best level 25 perk for melee weapons but not being able to combine it with snared dmg buff really sucks especially since guns have no problem with that. Please someone from epic who sees this comment look into this.
We discovered several weapon types where the Damage VS Slow/Snare perk should have been possible, but was missing from the perk loadout. They should be fixed up in update 4.4.
