Heroes!

From March 8th until March 19th we're celebrating the 5 Year Anniversary of Vermintide 2!

Not only is Vermintide 2 FREE for anyone to play this week (on Steam), you can also avail of Triple XP until the event ends on March 19th. Never has there been a better time to recruit a friend in to your Skaven-smashing crew! And whilst you're at it, earn a fancy new portrait frame and join the Ubersreik Five on their quest to have a 'Quiet Drink' in the time limited event mission.

A Quiet Drink invites players to celebrate by drinking their fill in Helmgart's local tavern, only to find it overrun by ratmen. Players must traverse the town (with ale goggles on) to find their next drink while clearing Helmgart's infestation of Chaos along the way.

Also coming up this week you wont want to miss our Dev Stream where we'll be sitting down and sharing good times with some of the folks who bring li...

I’m going to go out on a limb here, but the back and forth regarding people’s differing perspectives on the Shrine of the Omnissiah is unlikely to change either perspectives stance or opinions on the system. But it is slowly devolving in to attacks on those with contra-view points, and that’s no fun for them, us, or other folks stopping by to check out the discussions.

At some point it’s healthier to agree to disagree.

It’s fixed internally, should make it in to the next hotfix (which wont be today but wont be Next Week™ hopefully)

Hard to say without seeing the crash specifics (which you could raise in #darkt...

We just pushed out a hotfix for an emergent issue that stemmed from the ‘Blessings of the Omnissiah’ update that went out earlier today.

  • Fixed an issue where the texture streamer did not de-allocate resident part of loaded textures properly causing big memory leaks when transitioning between The Mourningstar and missions

We’re aware of other additional stability issues caused by the earlier update and are also working on fixes for those to roll out as soon as we can.

It’s intended, but likely to be revised further in a future update.

Weapon Balance

As part of this update we took a pass at each weapon’s available Blessings, tuning and fixing them as we went along. The intent is to raise the weaker choices and fix interactions that were flawed in order to provide a wider palette of interesting choices to pick from. Most changes include buffs to Blessings as they were in general modest or sometimes downright pointless in their old format. There are a lot of combinations to test and tune so please keep the feedback coming and we’ll keep the full Blessing configuration of each weapon as part of our patch rotation in the future.

We’ve presented all changes to each weapon listed together with fixes, Blessing tweaks, and a couple of balance changes mixed in below. In general, we ...

Close yeah, though if memory serves it was Warcraft that came from a no-deal WHFB RTS pitch, Star Craft was the logical follow up in the 40K vein.

Long story short, depth is defined differently for different people and that’s ok (or should be)
