MM has a soft cap of 1 CV for a battle at higher tiers. What this means is that for the first 3 minutes of match making, only 1 CV per a side can be on a team. After this, the MM reverts to a maximum of 2 (unless T10 or T4). Currently at T8, only around 15% of games have 2 CVs per side on them.

Your situation is exaggerated by the fact that MM took over 5 minutes which resulted in a short-team game. There is an increased number of players in T8 CVs due to the recent release of the GZ "B". However, the situation as a whole is not common.

So developing and balancing new ships is an extremely timely process that requires many staff and departments work on them. While yes, the "B" ships are essentially clones of the originally existing ships, this does allow us to offer them at greatly reduced prices for the sales period. Just like in traditional retail, brands don't put out brand new models/products at heavily reduced prices for the shopping holiday.

When releasing new content such as ship designs, we do try and make them distinguishable from previous in game models, such as, we wouldn't want to release an Iowa clone called NJ just for the sake of having the NJ in game, we'd like to consider how to make her a new gameplay experience from the existing in game Iowa-class ships. We make it very clear that these are copies of the original ships at a reduced price with a new skin.

If you don't like them, you have no need to buy them :)

Following up from this discussion over the weekend.

While I can understand where your frustration comes from, it is indicated several times, in several locations regarding the nature of the missions.

We offer these missions for the regular versions when obtaining the "B" versions as a small perk for those who already have the original version of the ship. Many players who already have the standard versions of the ship probably won't be interested in the "B" versions alone as it only has the unique skin. By adding the mission on, we create additional value for those players who would be otherwise only be purchasing for the skin. This is the perk they receive for already owning the original. Where as those who didn't already owned the ship get enjoy her at a significantly reduced price.

Unfortunately since this is not a straight forward automated system and does require human input, its not really possible for us to indicate exactly when accounts are going to be "screenshot" and moved. We will attempt to make the time between the capture and release as short as possible tho.

On the back of the World of Warships giftcards it does indicate that they contain a value of doubloons and that they are redeemed for this amount. The card does not indicate that it can be used on the premium store for further purchases.

While I can completely understand where you're coming from, currency cards (like visa giftcards/karmacoin cards etc) require a considerably larger database system to manage. The system we use with the doubloon cards is not dissimilar to how other games and companies handle the cards. The good news is, we do offer majority of ships/items available in the armory for doubloons and intend to continue expanding this offering going forward.

In future, it should be noted, that Karma Coin cards are a great means to do transactions of which you've described. I personally use Karma coins when making gift transactions for the other regions.

My gut would be inclined to check whether you are overlapping matches, that is leaving a match before its end (if you have been sunk), and starting another. This can cause wins/losses to cancel each other out and appear as though progress is not being made.
