Yeah, I want one, too. That would be swell. 😃

And that is why we did not add another tool tier. It would amplify the overlap.

Actually, every type of cook can go that low.

In the end this is just a game, not a cooking simulation. 😃

Materials are also used to determine what something can be scrapped into.

If someone uses rangedGun instead of rangedShotgun then they probably want it to display that way. /shrug

You can find leaflets everywhere, including book stores.

Or maybe putting it there really only was a corny joke.

Could also be that a mod is the root of the problem.

Well, it is definitely possible to make terrain blocks not collapse.

It may be possible to move original player spawn points underground (not sure if that actually works) but features like "spawn near your bedroll" would require code changes to allow spawning underground for sure.

What I am wondering is... how interesting would the game be without the 7 day horde, without wandering hordes, without biome spawns.

All of these spawn "on the surface".

More of an Ark-style theme park game?

That's because degradation is a float now. The "higher numbers" were used because durability was an integer.

Well, could be worse. It could be your humble opinion.

I'm not disagreeing, just answering your question on the why.

That was the design. The thing you find in the desert gives you cold resistance so you have to travel some.

So what would be the reason for having these extra tiers?

Split the existing damage range from T0 - T3 into more and smaller buckets?

You don't need to have points into firearms to use them and while they are not as quiet, they do have higher DPS than bows.

Some people like to brush over the fact that "stealth" is not a weapon, implying that if "stealth fails" you are helpless.

The agility attribute does have plenty of effective weapons to kill zombies with, stealth or no stealth.

...is that it isn't done, yet, but players are assuming that it is.

What I implemented is a greatly simplified version of what the level designers cooked up for loot distribution.

It is what could be fit into A19 and it's a massive improvement over the ridiculous loot pinatas of previous alphas where you would be "done looting" after a week or two.

Pfft. That's easy.

It's absolutely okay if you don't like stealth.

If you must have exact numbers, look at the character stats tabs in your inventory.

That should be obvious by now. 😃

Due to the cost structure of attributes it is slightly more efficient to favour one attribute but in a longer game this is completely irrelevant and you can simply get them all.

I would go for a more hardcore approach like having one primary attribute and all secondaries cost more... but that's the stuff of mods and super unlikely to be in vanilla.

The only real issue is that there are very few actual "special enemies" by now. They all have hit points, are affected by all weapons equally, have very few special abilities.

(there are minor adjustments for armor which only ranged weapons and spears/clubs have means to deal with)

That is going to get fleshed out. It's part and parcel of the whole Tower Defense bit.

It's fine. We get that all the time.

Players read some snippet of information and straight up blow a gasket without giving it any thought. =P

I thought you couldn't even load "outdated" savegames any more.

You do have the option to mod the loot tables to whatever you like.

It will just be very short games until you "have everything", depending on how early you make "good weapons" drop.
