The reason you have not seen it as often is because it only works on Crossbows/Grimoire.
It was raised on stream last week that I do indeed have a job to make Hazelmeres ring work on chest loot systems and extending it to work on every bit of 'trash loot' at Solak would certainly be a part of this :)

A poke is not needed.
Rewards from Solak are deposited straight to inventory, and HSR doubles items that drop to the ground. I've never seen anyone provide a screenshot of HSR doubling any reward from Solak.
However, it's been shown that HSR doubles rewards from big game hunter which use the same loot distribution system (items go straight to inventory and there's a colour-coded list of rewards in the chat).

I've already done a fix to stop Grimoire using pages when fighting Solak. Just hasn't been tested yet :)

Even with this change, the drop rate changes were also adjusted to allow for situations like this to happen without making the codex any more rare/common. :)
As far as I know, /u/JagexRamen needs the go ahead from /u/JagexTimbo before we can get those rates. Not sure when Timbo is back in the office though.
I wasn't the dev that balanced the task weightings, Timbo did give me the go ahead so let /u/Shaunyowns know he can release them whenever. No doubt feedback will be given on the weightings so will lead to feedback/tweaks in the future.

The checkbox functionality works on the server, its just the tickbox doesn't appear on the client.
Try click it once, and try and get it to kick in if that doesn't work, click it again then try again.
We'll get that issue sorted :)

Start an Ironman and then either pickup where you left off on your other account.
Ironman is a nice refreshing start over and you're able to experience all the original content you played way back when plus all the extra stuff that has been added. Also a really good way to learn and get to grips with the game.
Join a friendly clan that are happy to help with questions :D
If you do start over, using the command /wiki (Topic here) is a massive help.
As for the drama side of things, ignore list is good. I wouldn't worry yourself over it, change your name and don't let someone else bring you down! :D

I second this. Chat reactions to dyes are what I live for.
They give more slayer experience, award farming experience and give a better chance of dropping seeds.
