It's BiS, at least lock wearing it behind the quest. The requirements aren't that high anyway.

EDIT: For reference, Fremmy Isles only need 20 construction and 40 agility to complete.

Yes, we can do this - as always changes will be added/updated to the blog after discussing with the team :)

So you don't need the Fremennik exiles quest to wear it?

That is correct. You require the quest only to be able to get the drop yourself - the item is tradeable.

They're some of the higher quest requirements for stats in game.

Would you consider adding basilisk tasks to (some of) the higher level slayer masters then? The task is not given to people for which the helm would be relevant currently.

"Poll Question #3 Should you have the option to pay 80 Slayer points to unlock Basilisks as a new task from Konar, Duradel, and Nieve/Steve?

Poll Question #4 Should you have the option to pay 100 Slayer points to extend basilisk tasks from all Slayer masters that can assign them? This will increase the task to between 200-250."

Super important but wasn't included in the blog

It will not. It will stay a hybrid helmet with its new strength bonus.

Will the Basilisk Knights be able to be killed off task?

They can though the drop rate of the unique for the helmet is substantially worse in comparison to being on task (like hydras).

What would you think about adding some light ornamentation (like small spikes, etc) rather than changing it to a closed helm? I feel like you don’t necessarily need a second set of wings to add additional detail.

Perhaps I’m biased since the Neitiznot helm is my favorite design for an OSRS helm, but I’d appreciate keeping the same sort of look with minor changes.

I do appreciate the effort that’s been put in to maintain a similar silhouette but I really am a fan of keeping it as an open faced helmet.

Just some feedback to consider. I’m not an artist and I recognize that my “ideal” design may not work, but I’d love to contribute whatever I can to making this item turn out great. Can’t wait for the quest!

think if we added spikes to the back you’d be even more annoyed as the bit of the helmet you’re mostly seeing is the back as a player.

I like to think that it's the Fremennik way to rock an open helm into battle. A little foolhardy but hey, maybe the brute strength of the Fremennik way pulses through your expression: reading the adrenaline rush on your character's face makes your enemies quake in fear (and the lack of defence gives you extra incentive to hit a little harder).

I would say a slightly lighter colourisation could suggest a higher quality of mineral used and larger/arced wings could be how the smiths say "this is how we're differentiating this model from the last"

I'm going to be blunt:

We tried an open visor with the additional wings and it just ended up looking like the RS3 model and we knew people would inevitably dislike that, for that reason.

We went with the visor because we think it differentiates it enough from the RS3 version whilst maintaining most of the iconic silhouette and colour palette of the original.

Truthfully, as a majority opinion, most people have seemed to like the look of the helmet. We appreciate the feedback and I'm sure Mod West will look over it tomorrow (We were off Monday for a Bank Holiday) though it's unlikely it will change much.

It's a hard balance between "This looks RS3" (as an open faced version would look like that) and "I don't like the visor". We took the lesser of 2 evils in my opinion.

Edit we could do an opinion poll highest % wins on the design of we have time though.

Yea you’re probably right, It really depends where you’re going with the quest and where the upgrade comes from. I was just thinking about when rs3 did the enchanted version pre eoc and give it a blue ish tint I liked that one. Can’t say I like this mask but that’s just my opinion

That enchant was from a summoning imbue though; it wasn’t stronger.

Edit:

from the wiki

Skills: 65 crafting 60 slayer 60 smithing 60 fishing 55 rc

Quests: Fremmy isles, lunar diplomacy, mountain daughter, and hero’s quest

I think they’ve been shared before though I’m not sure if they’re the same. Previously had an increase to the highest RC level for quests - blog post will be out Tuesday.

It looks really good, but I hope the quest has a tough fight deserving of this new BiS helmet. Will stats be revealed soon? Also does it have any cool unique passive effects?

The blog will be out Tuesday.

Personally don’t like it, don’t like the mask thing on it. Rather just make it an upgraded version of the original, keep it very similar maybe change a few colours on it. Looks a little bit too much like justiciar for my liking

I’d argue the colours are iconic.

So it is an upgraded Neit... Wonder if the other helms (Warrior, Archer, and Farseer) will get upgraded versions too. It is kinda disappointing how the Berserker Helm is the only fremmy helm with an upgrade so it would be great if the others also got new versions. Though if this Neit upgrade didn't add more Strength and instead added the Slash of the Warrior Helm and some more defence or such, that would kinda be a Warrior Helm upgrade. Anyway, the design looks pretty nice; from the top, it will probably look mostly the same, which is good.

Future plans for the other helmets but not in the near future.

Might want to brush up on the rules buddy, doesn't mention anything about benefitting from it. It says ANY, aka all bugs, should be reported rather than abused.

Or maybe just fix the game QA guy cx.

Luckily for this guy we're well away of safe spots and delaying the queen via things like the elemental shield and using only 1 egg to kill the queen. We haven't fixed it because we don't mind.

Thanks for the help though, buddy.

Literally didn't see anything in this that other people don't use in the minigame or anything that actually benefits a level 3 doing this.
