Update: This hotfix went live at 10:40 a.m. PDT

We have a hotfix in testing that we intend to apply to change the Queen Azshara encounter tomorrow morning (PDT):

• Queen Azshara’s minions Berserk at the beginning of Phase 4 of the encounter on Mythic difficulty. Phase 3 now ends automatically after 3 minutes (was 2 minutes).

We’ll confirm when the hotfix is ready and going live tomorrow morning.

We’re working on a hotfix today that will cause all tank specializations to now generate additional threat, via increases granted at each of the three Essence slot unlocks.

At each of the three Essence slot unlocks, damage-dealing specializations are gaining an increase in their damage output that is substantial enough to sometimes unintentionally disrupt tanking. This change should keep threat generation, relative to DPS, on par with where it was earlier in the expansion.

We’re working on a change to the Arcane Heart Azerite Trait that was introduced in Rise of Azshara. How it works today is:

Arcane Heart gives you a buff for every 1.5 million damage or healing you do. However, damage or healing that comes from something other than you casting a spell is not counted. For example, a Blood Death Knight doing healing from Death Strike isn’t benefitting from that healing counting to the next proc of Arcane Heart.

So we’re developing a fix for that. Currently, the change looks like this:

    • Fixed a bug that caused some damage and healing effects to go uncounted by this Azerite Trait.
    • Damage and healing counted to activate Omnipotence is no longer counted while Omnipotence is active.

We’re working on a hotfix for how this Essence works in some affix situations:

• Purification Protocol’s rank 2 major effect will no longer cause an annihilated enemy to trigger Bolstering, Bursting, or Sanguine affix effects when it dies.

It’s a unique effect, where Purification Protocol Rank 2 sometimes causes an enemy to be “Annihilated” – instantly killed. We think that’s cool and fun, however, it can be frustrating in Mythic Keystone dungeons when you sometimes need to very carefully plan for the Sanguine, Bolstering, or Bursting affixes when killing enemies.

We’ll let you know soon after the change has been made live.

We’re hard at work preparing for the launch of WoW Classic, and we’ve reached the conclusion that we’re not quite yet ready to do our Global Stress Test (previously scheduled for next week). While we’re still on track to launch WoW Classic on August 27, we need a bit more time before this final pre-launch worldwide test.

About five minutes ago, we deployed a fix for the reward side of this. Players who opened their PvP cache earlier should log out and then log back into WoW to trigger the fix.

We’re working on a hotfix that will make the “Something Different” quest complete in the Classic Ashran brawl when you either win any event, or kill Grand Marshal Tremblade / High Warlord Volrath.

The hotfix for this is now live.

I just logged into a character of mine in Newhome, and I was able to Inspect and Compare Achievements on Horde player characters who were nearby.

My first thought – could you have an outdated addon getting in the way?

• Oceanic Restoration’s (weapon enchant) mana granted is reduced by 50% in PvP situations.
  • Developers’ notes: At the start of BFA Season 2, we made changes to mana regeneration in PvP to increase the impact mana management has on long engagements. Similarly, Rise of Azshara introduced new methods of mana regeneration in the forms of a weapon enchant and Essences (below) that need to be reduced in the same fashion.
